The dynamics of water confined in H-ZSM-5 (protonated form the Zeolite Socony Mobil – 5) has been studied using quasielastic neutron scattering (QENS) and classical molecular simulations (MD). QENS measurements probed ZSM-5 samples with Si/Al ratios 15, 40 140 at 2.8 wt% loadings. In lower silica samples, fitting elastic incoherent structure factor (EISF) showed that diffusion was to a sphere (...

shape-selective methylation of naphthalene (naph) over sapo-11 zeolite was carried out in a fixed-bed flow reactor under atmospheric pressure. some zeolites, such as h-beta (hβ), husy and zsm-5 were also evaluated for comparison with sapo-11 zeolite.the results showed that sapo-11 exhibited higher stability, higher selectivity of  2,6-dimethylnaphthalene (2,6-dmn), and higher 2,6-/2,7-dmn ratio...

This work shows how propane was catalytically converted to aromatic compounds over Zn-Ni/HZSM-5 investigate the synergistic role of nickel as a zinc stabilizer and promoter in aromatization. Co-impregnation method employed for Zn-Ni/ZSM-5 synthesis fixed 2 wt% 1, 3 nickel. Modified catalysts’ were fully characterized. Catalysts crystallinity, structure microporosity retained from analysis resul...

As stock of crude oil is limited, new resources for fuel and petrochemicals are required to be developed. Natural gas or biogas can be easily converted into methanol which can be converted into gasoline and olefins. This study uses zeolite catalyst (ZSM-5) and its modification by Ni to convert methanol to hydrocarbons (MTH). Catalysts are studied at different temperatures and at different loadi...

A continuous microwave equipment (CME) has been successfully developed in order to achieve an extremely rapid and mass production for ZSM-5 and NaY zeolite. A precursor mixture for synthesis of ZSM-5 was prepared by mixing aluminosilicate gel with a nanoseed solution obtained under microwave irradiation, and pumped continuously into the CME. Duration time in the CME was 5 min to accomplish the ...

The structure of phenylcyclopropane radical cation (1•+, R ) H) is derived from CIDNP effects observed during the electron transfer reaction of 1 with chloranil. This species is an example of an elusive structure type. The secondary cyclopropane protons show significantly divergent hyperfine coupling constants due to an unprecedented stereoelectronic effect. Incorporation into a redox-active pe...

Adsorption of carbonmonoxide on the silver ion-exchanged Ag-ZSM-5 zeolite has been studied using both quantum cluster and embedded cluster at the models B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. The Ag...Oz distance in Ag-ZSM-5 complexes is predicted to be 2.26 Å for the quantum cluster and 2.32 Å for the embedded cluster, the latter is in agreement with the experimental value of 2.30 + 0.03 Å. The opt...

Neutron scattering methods observed complete room temperature conversion of methanol to framework methoxy in a commercial sample of methanol-to-hydrocarbons (MTH) catalyst H-ZSM-5, evidenced by methanol immobility and vibrational spectra matched by ab initio calculations. No methoxylation was observed in a commercial HY sample, attributed to the dealumination involved in high silica HY synthesis.

Abstract Cu/ZnO methanol catalysts were deposited over several ZSM-5 acid zeolites to directly synthesise oxygenates (methanol and dimethyl ether) from a CO 2 /H feed. Catalysts prepared by two different preparation methodologies: chemical vapour impregnation (CZZ-CVI) oxalate gel precipitation (CZZ-OG). Chemical led being on the zeolite surface, whilst formation of agglomerates. For both sets ...
