We establish some necessary conditions for the existence of irreducible polynomials of degree n and weight n over F2. Such polynomials can be used to efficiently implement multiplication in F2n . We also provide a simple proof of a result of Bluher concerning the reducibility of a certain family of polynomials.

although sport-physiologists have repeatedly analyzed respiratory gases through exercise, it is relatively new in the cardiovascular field and is obviously more acceptable than standard exercise test, which gives only information about the existence or absence of cardiovascular diseases (cvds). through the new method of exercise test, parameters including aerobic and anaerobic are checked and m...

INTRODUCTION Information on multimodal analgesic efficacy in patients undergoing a Bascom cleft lift operation is limited. The aim of this prospective consecutive study was to evaluate early post-operative pain in patients receiving a standardised multimodal analgesic regimen. METHODS A total of 48 patients undergoing a Bascom cleft lift operation were included over an 8-month period in a day...

The wing motion in free flight has been described for insects ranging from 1 to 100 mm in wingspan. To support the body weight, the wings typically produce 2-3 times more lift than can be accounted for by conventional aerodynamics. Some insects use the fling mechanism: the wings are clapped together and then flung open before the start of the downstroke, creating a lift-enhancing vortex around ...

a computational optimization was performed for a direct-injection diesel engine using three-dimensional modeling. fully transient cfd analyses of different valve profile strategies for the intake and compression strokes were performed to evaluate the effects on both engine performance and in-cylinder flow-field evolution. the turbulence model was used along with the second order linear upwind s...

This paper presents an analysis of the concept of Miniature Air Vehicles and Micro Air Vehicles (respectively mAV and μAV) mainly carried out through the development of a mAV prototype called "Bidule", which was first successfully flown in 1998. The final objective of the project is to reduce the size of this miniature demonstrator to a micro sized vehicle. This paper presents the initial work ...

Optimal control of a wheel loader operating in the short loading cycle is studied in order to investigate the potentials for fuel consumption reduction while maintaining acceptable production rates. The wheel loader is modeled as a system with five states and three control inputs including torque converter nonlinearities. The torque converter is modeled with no lockup enabling power transmissio...
