The molecule of the title compound, [Fe(C26H31)2], is located on an inversion center. The two cyclopentadienyl rings exhibit a staggered conformation, which results from the bulky bis(4-tert-butylphenyl)methyl substituents situated on opposite sides of the molecule.

The synthesis and characterisation of a thallium(I) triscarbene complex of the chelating, tripodal carbene ligand 1,3,5-[tris(3-tert-butylimidazol-2-ylideno)methyl]-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene is reported, in which the thallium ion is coordinated by three N-heterocyclic carbene donors in a distorted trigonal planar environment.

In the title compound, C(30)H(39)OP, the P=O bond length is 1.4866 (12) Å and the P-C bond lengths range from 1.804 (2) to 1.808 (13) Å. The molecle is located on a crystallographic mirror plane. The methyl groups of one tert-butyl group are disordered over two sites in a 0.776 (4):0.224 (4) ratio.

The synthesis of the (2S)-[3-(anthracen-9-yl)-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-5-yl]methyl 2-[(tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino]propanoate is obtained through the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of the stable anthracenenitrile oxide and the N-Boc protected (S)-alanine allyl ester as dipolarophile. The structure and the fluorescence properties are described upon the relative analytical and spectroscopic data.

The non-H atoms of the title compound, C20H20N2O2, is located on a mirror plane except two methyl groups of the tert-butyl group. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds exist between the hy-droxy and diazenyl groups. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into supra-molecular chains running along the a-axis direction.

Condensation of the corresponding chlorides of some substituted pyrazine-2-carboxylic acids (pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid, 6-chloropyrazine-2-carboxylic acid, 5-tert-butylpyrazine-2-carboxylic acid or 5-tert-butyl-6-chloropyrazine-2-carboxylic acid) with various ring-substituted aminothiazoles or anilines yielded a series of amides. The syntheses, analytical and spectroscopic data of thirty newly...

We report here the draft genome sequence of Paenibacillus etheri sp. nov. SH7(T) (= CECT 8558(T) = DSM 29760(T)), isolated from a hydrocarbon-contaminated soil pilot plant in Granada, Spain. The bacterium was isolated and sequenced due to its methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE)-degrading properties.

Sulfonyl radicals generated from sulfonylhydrazides by the Bu(4)NI-tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) catalysis system underwent addition to a variety of α-methyl styrene derivatives to give the corresponding allylic sulfones. This selective allylic sulfonylation is metal-free, operationally simple, and environmentally friendly.

Chloroform and ether commonly are used as solvents to extract metabolic organic acids for analysis by gas-liquid chromatography in the identification of anaerobic bacteria. Because these solvents are potentially hazardous to personnel, modified extraction procedures involving the use of a safer solvent, methyl tert-butyl ether were developed which remained both simple to perform and effective f...
