In this paper an optimized hardware co-simulation approach is presented to design & implement GSM based digital down convertor for Software Defined Radios. The proposed DDC is implemented using optimal equiripple technique to reduce the resource requirement. A computationally efficient polyphase decomposition structure is used to improve the hardware complexity of the overall design. The propos...

The spectral-domain method is a very fast and powerful technique to analyze planar microwave circuits. However, available techniques for simulating the excitation of open planar microwave circuits are not very effective at relatively low frequencies. In this paper, new compensation functions are introduced, which correctly model the excitation over the whole microwave frequency region.

Background: Poly chlorinated biphenyls (PCBS) are the groups of organic chemical material and toxic, persistent, bio accumulate and pose a risk of causing adverse effects to human health and the environment. PCB compounds are caused the different health effects in human depending of age, sex, route of entry, intensity and frequency exposure. This study was conducted to determine the effect of...

The paper discusses fabrication of homogenous and heterogeneous breast phantoms to simulate the dielectric properties of human breast over the microwave frequency range from 0.5GHz to 13.5GHz. The breast phantoms have stable mechanical configuration and dielectric properties suitable for microwave imaging experiments particularly ultra-wideband microwave imaging for breast cancer detection.

abstract during these protracted years, mankind’s main foods consist of grains-specially wheat, oats and rice. granary production and its storage have been one of the main concerns of a human being for a long time. microwave radiation as a safe insect control agent could secure high mortality rate of insect population by increasing the temperature of insects’ body and its niche. low temperature...

We here report on the implementation of a microwave lens for neutral polar molecules suitable to focus molecules in both low-field-seeking and high-field-seeking states. By using the TE{11m} modes of a 12 cm long cylindrically symmetric microwave resonator, Stark-decelerated ammonia molecules are transversally confined. We investigate the focusing properties of this microwave lens as a function...

Microgrids need control strategies to achieve maximum performance. An appropriate strategy should have high performance in unbalanced conditions addition normal conditions. Today, the use of microgrids, with a variety power sources, including solar, wind, diesel, energy storage sources increase capability distribution grid has made significant progress. However, controlling and managing their e...

We report on the design, analytical modeling, numerical simulation, fabrication, and experimental characterization of chip-scale microwave resonators that exhibit high quality-factors (Q-factors) in the microwave frequency range. We demonstrate high Q-factors by tuning these microwave resonators with the film capacitance of their LC tank circuits rather than the conventional approach of using e...

This paper presents 10-bit, 1.5 MS/s, 2.5V, Low Power Pipeline analog to digital converter using capacitor coupling techniques. A capacitance coupling foldedcascode amplifier effectively saves the power consumption of gain stages of ADC in a 0.25 μm CMOS technology. The ADC also achieves Low power Consumption by the sharing an op-amp between two successive pipeline stage further reduction of po...

The ability of a frequency comb from a femtosecond mode-locked laser to faithfully reproduce the properties of optical oscillators at microwave frequencies is examined. The fractional frequency instability of the femtosecond comb microwave synthesizer is 2 x 10/τ, and could improve by at least a factor of 10 upon elimination of excess photodetection noise. Phase-noise levels are also examined. ...
