The backpropagation algorithm, which had been originally introduced in the 1970s, is the workhorse of learning in neural networks. This backpropagation algorithm makes use of the famous machine learning algorithm known as Gradient Descent, which is a first-order iterative optimization algorithm for finding the minimum of a function. To find a local minimum of a function using gradient descent, ...

The extreme learning machine (ELM) that is proposed by Huang is designed based on single-hidden layer feedforward neural networks (SLFNs), which can randomly choose the parameters of hidden nodes and the output weights gotten analytically. So it can get the solution fastly. However, the learning time of ELM is mainly spent on calculating the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse matrices of the hid...

We present in this work the performances of a mobile omnidirectional robot through evaluating its management of the redundancy of actuation. Thus we come to the predictive control implemented. The distribution of the wringer on the robot actions, through the inverse pseudo of Moore-Penrose, corresponds to a « geometric ›› distribution of efforts. We will show that the load on vehicle wheels wou...

Let R be a unital ring with an involution. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the Bott-Duffin inverse of a ∈ R relative to a pair of self-adjoint idempotents (e, f) are derived. The existence of a {1, 3}-inverse, {1, 4}-inverse, and the Moore-Penrose inverse of a matrix product is characterized, and explicit formulas for their computations are obtained. Some applications t...

Abstract. A well–known property of an irreducible non–singular M–matrix is that its inverse is non–negative. However, when the matrix is an irreducible and singular M–matrix it is known that it has a generalized inverse which is non–negative, but this is not always true for any generalized inverse. We focus here in characterizing when the Moore–Penrose inverse of a symmetric, singular, irreduci...

The aim of this work is to prove the existence and uniqueness Drazin inverse DMP inverses a bounded finite potent endomorphism. In particular, we give main properties these generalized inverses, offer their relationships with adjoint operator, study spectrum, compute respective traces determinants relate operator classical definitions inverse. Moreover, different Moore-Penrose are studied.

In this paper, we develop conditions under which the Sherman–Morrison–Woodbury formula can be represented in the Moore–Penrose inverse and the generalized Drazin inverse forms. These results generalize the original Sherman–Morrison–Woodbury formula. © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

The Radon transform on Zn averages a function over its values on a translate of a fixed subset S in Zn. We discuss invertibility conditions and computer inverse formulas based on the Moore-Penrose inverse and on linear algorithms. We expect the results to be of use in directional and toroidal time series.
