Conceptually new constant-gm input-stage architecture is presented. It provides near constant net transconductance independent of transistor operating region strong, moderate or weak inversion. One possible implementation of the proposed architecture is discussed in details. Its operation has been experimentally verified. Results from performed measurements are included.

This paper describes the operation of the AC-3 multichannel adaptive transform coder. Coding a multiplicity of channels as a single entity is more efficient that coding individual channels, permitting a lower net data rate. The major processing blocks of the AC-3 coder are presented and discussed, along with the underlying psychoacoustic principles. Strengths and limitations of the coding techn...

High precision droplet-based net-form manufacturing of structural components is gaining considerable academic and industrial interest due to the promise of improved component quality resulting from rapid solidification processing and the economic benefits associated with fabricating a structural component in one integrated operation. In this work circular cylinders that are 35 mm in diameter an...

Preliminary notes This paper presents a multi-objective formulation for optimal sizing of photovoltaic resources as grid connected mode in distribution systems with the aim of maximizing net present worth of system. The proposed system in this paper includes two sources such as upstream network i.e. 63/20 kV substation and photovoltaic arrays as private sector for meeting load. Total net presen...

Model-based development for embedded system design has been used to support the increase of system’s complexity. Several modeling formalisms are well matched for usage within this area. One of the goals of this work is to contribute to the usage of Petri nets as system specification language within model-based development of embedded systems having MDA proposals as a reference for the developme...

The issue of online privacy and security is a challenging subject, as it concerns the privacy of data that are increasingly more accessible via the internet. In other words, people who intend to access the private information of other users can do so more efficiently over the internet. This study is an attempt to address the privacy issue of distributed big data in the context of cloud computin...

The CAPE-OPEN standard interfaces have been designed to permit flexibility and modularization of process simulation environments (PMEs) in order to use process modeling components such as unit operation or thermodynamic property models across a range of tools employed in the lifecycle of chemical process systems engineering. Technical foundations of interoperable software are constantly changin...

In this paper we present an overview of the basic ideas involved in an ongoing project for giving Petri net semantics to an object-oriented language. At present the emphasis is not in the development of the language, but in the study of how far one can get with the existing Petri net machinery. The OOB(PN) 2 language is an extension of B(PN) 2 as deened by Best and Hopkins, and the semantics is...

In this paper, the statistical analyses are presented to study the thermal efficiency and power output of gas turbine (GT) power plants. For analyzing gas turbine operation and performance, a novel approach is developed utilizing the response surface methodology (RSM) which is based on the central composite design (CCD) method. An attempt is made to study the effect of some operational factors ...

Traps are structurally deened subnets of a Petri net with the property that once a trap is marked (i.e., carries at least one token), it will remain marked in any successive marking. The paper shows how to synthesise initially marked traps for a Petri Box for the reenement and the scoping operation, from the characteristics of its constituents.
