A new class of hybrid/mixed finite elements, denoted “HMFEM-C”, has been developed for modeling magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) materials. These elements are based on assuming independent strain-fields, electric and magnetic fields, and collocating them with the strain-fields, electric and magnetic fields derived from the primal variables (mechanical displacements, electric and magnetic potential...

In this study, precipitation behavior in hot workings on Al–1%Mn alloy was investigated. It has been identified specimens used study show thermally stabilized substructures after plain strain compression (PSC) test as a working. PSC tests were carried out between 300°C and 500°C. By using small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) method, dispersion state of precipitations formed estimated. considered...

Abstract To examine the influence of mesh density on blast loads anti-landmines (ALMs) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) under an armored vehicle, models with different FE densities were numerically analysed. The multi-material arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (MM-ALE) algorithm was used to simulate vehicle explosions. Explicit dynamic analysis performed in LS-DYNA. Blast loading simulation ...

Thermal treatments and thermo-mechanical processing routes were applied on a conventional structural steel (st37 steel: 0.12C-1.11Mn-0.16Si) for improvement of tensile properties and enhancement of work-hardening behavior. Full annealing resulted in a sheet with coarse ferrite grains and pearlite colonies arranged alternatively in distinct bands, which showed high ductility, low strength, and t...

ABSTRACT. This work is focused on the numerical implementation of thermo-viscoplastic constitutive equations in small and finite strain contexts using FEM. A length scale parameter is introduced implicitly through viscosity in order to address strain localization in the (initial) boundary value problems. The mathematical structure of the infinitesimal viscoplasticity theory is concise and simil...

Brucella abortus strain S99 is widely used for the preparation of colored, plain, recombinant and smooth lipopolysaccharide antigens for the preparation of Brucella diagnostic kits. The genome of this strain was sequenced and the length of the genome was 3,253,175 bp, with 57.2% G+C content. A total of 3,365 protein coding genes and 53 RNA genes were predicted.

Article history: Received 12 July 2014 Accepted 11 September 2014 Available online 20 September 2014 A single hit, hot isothermal plane strain compression (PSC) test was used to understand the microstructural evolution during large strain deformation of aluminium–copper–lithium alloy AA 2195. Hot isothermal PSC tests were conducted in the temperature range of 300–450 C and at strain rates of 0....

This study investigates that the sound wave propagation of multiferroic thermo elastic Nanofibers under the influence of surface effect and parametric excitation via Timoshenko form of beam equations. The equation of analytical model is obtained for Nanofiber through shear and rotation effect. The solution of the problem is reached through the coupled time harmonic equations in flexural directi...
