Exact expressions of the Pauli exclusion operator Q in the nuclear matter calculation are presented. Exact formulae are given for the calculations of the single-particle-potential energy and the binding energy per nucleon with the exact Q operator. Numerical calculations of the G matrix in the lowest-order Brueckner theory are carried out to check the reliability of the standard angle-average a...

Decoupling via the Similarity Renormalization Group (SRG) of low-energy nuclear physics from high-energy details of the nucleon-nucleon interaction is examined for two-body observables and few-body binding energies. The universal nature of this decoupling is illustrated and errors from suppressing high-momentum modes above the decoupling scale are shown to be perturbatively small.

Base on the non-relativistic Faddeev AGS method, three-body calculations of the coupled and quasi-bound KKN-πKΣ system are performed in the momentum space. Different phenomenological models of KN-πΣ potentials with one and two-pole structures of KN-πΣ resonance are used to study the dependence of double-kaonic system binding energy on the coupled KN-πΣ interaction. Also, the effect of the KK  r...

We investigate the relation between the binding energy and the Fermi energy and between different expressions for the pressure in cold nuclear matter. For a self-consistent calculation based on a Φ derivable T−matrix approximation with off-shell propagators the thermodynamic relations are well satisfied unlike for a G−matrix or a T−matrix approach using quasi-particle propagators in the ladder ...

Zoanthamine-type alkaloids display a wide spectrum of biological effects. This study aimed to examine the inhibitory effects of norzoanthamine and its ten homologues of zoanthamine class on human fibroblast collagenase by modeling a three-dimensional structure of the ligands at collagenase using energy minimization, docking, molecular dynamics simulation and MM-PB/GBSA binding free energy calcu...

We prove a large number of results about atoms in constant magnetic field including (i) Asymptotic formula for the ground state energy of Hydrogen in large field, (ii) Proof that the ground state of Hydrogen in an arbitrary constant field has Lz = 0 and of the monotonicity of the binding energy as a function of B, (iii) Borel summability of Zeeman series in arbitrary atoms, (iv) Dilation analyt...

We give a brief overview of nuclear parton distributions. First, the EMC effect is discussed together with possible interpretations such as nuclear binding and Q rescaling. Next, we explain shadowing descriptions: vector-meson-dominance-type and partonrecombination models. Nuclear dependence of Q evolution should be interesting in testing whether or not DGLAP equations could be applied to nucle...

Recent observations on Type-Ia supernovae and low density (Ωm = 0.3) measurement of matter including dark matter suggest that the presentday universe consists mainly of repulsive-gravity type ‘exotic matter’ with negative-pressure often said ‘dark energy’ (Ωx = 0.7). But the nature of dark energy is mysterious and its puzzling questions, such as why, how, where and when about the dark energy, a...
