We prove that noncommutative solenoids are limits, in the sense of the Gromov-Hausdorff propinquity, of quantum tori. From this observation, we prove that noncommutative solenoids can be approximated by finite dimensional quantum compact metric spaces, and that they form a continuous family of quantum compact metric spaces over the space of multipliers of the solenoid, properly metrized.

We show that an analytic subset of the finite dimensional Euclidean space R is purely unrectifiable if and only if the image of any of its compact subsets under every local Lipschitz quotient function is a Lebesgue null. We also construct purely unrectifiable compact sets of Hausdorff dimension greater than 1 which are necessarily sent to finite sets by local Lipschitz quotient functions.

Let E be a separable Banach space and Ω be a compact Hausdorff space. It is shown that the space C(Ω, E) has property (V) if and only if E does. Similar result is also given for Bochner spaces L(μ,E) if 1 < p < ∞ and μ is a finite Borel measure on Ω.
