A case of intracortical haemangioma in the tibial diaphysis is reported. The radiological and macroscopic features were identical with osteoid osteoma. In view of this similarity, haemangiomata, despite their rarity at this site, must be considered in the differential diagnosis of osteoid osteoma.

Osteoid osteoma is a benign osteoblastic tumor usually seen in adolescent and young males. In the paediatric age group, since the history may be difficult to elicit, there are often problems in early diagnosis. Osteoid osteoma is a benign tumor especially affecting young males generally treated with radiofrequency ablation. This is a non-invasive and safe procedure, major complications are very rare, most of them consisting in local skin burns. The present case shows a late subtrochanteric fracture in a young boy after CT guided termoablation of osteoid osteoma of proximal femur and short review of th...

Choroidal osteoma is a benign ossifying tumor of the choroid, consisting of mature bone tissue. It has been described to enlarge and evolve at varying rates over time. Here, we report and quantify the progression of a unilateral choroidal osteoma in a 7-year-old boy by fundus photography, and document tumor remodeling by spectral domain optical coherence tomography images.

Evolution of an osteoma may result in neurosensory detachment, deossification, and choroidal neovascularization (CNV). The authors report a rare case of choroidal osteoma with CNV associated with a deep non-conforming focal choroidal excavation. [Ophthalmic Surg Lasers Imaging Retina. 2017;48:944-947.].

Two cases of arthroscopic retrieval of intra-articular shoulder pathology are presented. With this technique, areas that are often difficult to expose in an open fashion and those previously deemed inaccessible arthroscopically are localized readily. In the setting of intra-articular pathology, thought should be given to the possibility of arthroscopic retrieval or excision before proceeding wi...

The treatment of uncomplicated osteoma consists of an en bloc resection, or curettage, of the tumor, followed by cranioplasty. Here, we present a case report of a patient treated for a parietal osteoma, followed by a calcium phosphate cranioplasty, with early resorption after 3 months, which was presented by a sinking flap above the resection area. This case suggests that synthetic cranioplasty...
