This paper demonstrates Pseudomonas cepacia lipase catalyzed hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl palmitate under irradiation of light with wavelengths of 250-750 nm. The reaction follows Michaelis-Menten Kinetics and the light irradiation increases the overall rate of hydrolysis. Using Lineweaver-Burk plot K M and V max values for the reaction in presence of light are found to be 39.07 and 66.67 mM/min...

Exploring cobalt phosphide catalysts with abundant active sites and outstanding intrinsic activity for robust hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) oxygen (OER) is highly desirable. Herein, by the fine-tuning thermal-reduction treatment of phosphonates spherical shape, novel carbon-wrapped CoP-Co2P polymorphs are rationally constructed. The unique hierarchical porous architecture heterointerface no...

Glutamate synthase (GltS, EC 1.4.1.13) forms with glutamine synthetase (GS, EC 6.3.1.2, reaction 1) the main route for glutamate synthesis in micro-organisms by catalysing the NAD(P)Hdependent transfer of the amide group of glutamine to the C(2) carbon of 2-oxoglutarate (2-OG, reaction 2). The overall reaction catalysed by GS and GltS (reaction 3) is similar to the reaction of glutamate dehydro...

PURPOSE Host immune response to tumor may be an important prognostic factor for colon cancer patients. However, little is known on prognostic significance of histopathologic lymphoid reaction to tumor, independent of the number of lymph nodes examined and tumoral molecular alterations, including microsatellite instability (MSI) and the CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP), both of which are a...

The highly exoergic nucleophilic substitution reaction F(-) + CH3I shows reaction dynamics strikingly different from that of substitution reactions of larger halogen anions. Over a wide range of collision energies, a large fraction of indirect scattering via a long-lived hydrogen-bonded complex is found both in crossed-beam imaging experiments and in direct chemical dynamics simulations. Our me...
