We analyzed minimal residual disease (MRD) by consensus polymerase chain reaction (PCR), quantitative PCR (qPCR), and flow cytometry in 40 patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who underwent stem cell transplantation; 97.4%, 89%, and 100% of the patients could be studied by consensus PCR, qPCR, and flow cytometry, respectively. Overall, 164 of 248 samples were negative for MRD by con...

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) has been widely used for detecting long chain DNA or RNA of viruses, bacteria and cytokines, but it is difficult to detect DNA or RNA with short length sequences. In this work, we developed a simple and rapid detection method for short length DNA sequences in complicated matrices based on ligation-mediated PCR. Two probes, both designed as 52 bases and respective...

In article number 2100430 by Sung Gap Im, Kyoung G. Lee, and co-workers, an “all-in-one tube” is devised coating poly-(2-dimethylaminomethyl styrene) (pDMAMS) on a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tube via initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) to extract, amplify, detect pathogens within single tube. The all-in-one can capture the DNA of charge interaction directly perform real-time PCR, re...

The detection of exogenous plant microRNAs in human/animal plasma/sera lies at the foundation of exploring their cross-kingdom regulatory functions. It is necessary to establish a standard operation procedure to promote study in this nascent field. In this study, 18 plant miRNAs were assessed in watermelon juice and mixed fruits by quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (q...

Abstract Koi herpesvirus (KHV) has been responsible for worldwide KHV disease (KHVD) outbreaks, resulting in high mortality rates, and reported Cyprinus carpio cultivation. A Triplex Polymerase Chain Reaction (T-PCR) was developed the detection of gene to improve diagnosis infection. Three sets primers were designed targeting specific sequences which frequently used PCR assay detecting (modific...

The ubiquity of fecal indicator bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Enterococcus spp. in urban environments makes tracking of fecal contamination extremely challenging. A multitiered approach was used to assess sources of fecal pollution in Ballona Creek, an urban watershed that drains to the Santa Monica Bay (SMB) near Los Angeles, Calif. A mass-based design at six main-stem sites and four m...

COVID-19 is a viral disease that has killed more than 10 million people worldwide and infected millions of people. Therefore, it become necessary to screen large numbers detect individuals reduce the spread disease. Maximum for confirming virus estimated with RT-PCR test. PCR (Polymerize Chain Response) popular device predicting pathological examination. A key issue real-time testing risk gener...

In this paper we describe the principles of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and its expanding use in molecular genetic research and molecular medicine. A short introduction of exemplary applications of the PCR is connected with a discussion of the lack of PCR accuracy. We give a statistical model for the PCR and discuss estimation methods in order to quantify the lack of PCR accuracy.

Background: Salmonella is one of the most common food-borne pathogens that can cause illness. In this study, the sensitivity and the specificity of Aptamer-Magnetic bead Separation-Polymerase Chain Reaction (AMS-PCR) method were determined for Salmonella spp. detection. Methods: Different concentrations of Salmonella enterica were mixed with streptavidin-magnetic beads coated with biotinylated...

ObjectivesUndetectable or low-level hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA and drug resistance mutations in patients may increase the risk of HBV transmission cause active viral replication other clinical problems. Here, we established a highly sensitive practical method for detection using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) -based CRISPR-Cas13a system (referred to as PCR-CRISPR) evaluated its capability sam...
