Cupric oxide (CuO) nanoparticles were prepared by the chemical route by calcinations at a higher temperature from 300 o C to 400 o C. For the comparison transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and x-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements were made through JCPDS. There is good agreement between data produced by spectroscopy and the microscopic measurements.

Nanoparticles of barium carbonate/oxalate have been synthesized in situ from barium nitrate and ammonium carbonate/oxalate by reverse micelle method. These particles were characterized using transmission electron microscope (TEM), fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and x-ray diffraction (XRD). The results indicate that rod-like barium carbonate (BaCO3) and spherical barium oxalate (BaC2O4) nanop...

CuInSe2 nanoparticles have been prepared by reacting cuprous chloride, indium chloride with alcohol and selenium powder. The nanoparticles were characterized by TEM, XRD, ICP-OES and SEM. The formation of CuInSe2 nanoparticles with different precursor ratios was investigated by in-situ high temperature X-ray diffraction analysis. It was found that the growth of CIS followed a vapor-liquid-solid...

An ethynyl-substituted nickel(II) phthalocyanine has been synthesised and its thermotropic properties studied; optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques revealed an unusual mesomorphic behaviour observed for the first time in phthalocyanine systems where each disk of the hexagonal columnar mesophase is formed by two ethynyl-substituted ph...

Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) of copper and zinc synthesized with 1,4benzenedicarboxylic acid and N,N-dimethylformamide at room temperature and by solvothermal method is reported in this paper. The MOFs were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and...

The role of soluble proteins from shell of the crayfish, Thenus Orientalis, was studied under different concentrations at an ambient temperature of 4°C in biomineralization. The composition and morphology of calcite and magnesium calcite crystals precipitated were investigated using Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Figure 1. Crayfish ...

-X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) patterns for many interstratified mica/glycolated smectites were calculated by changing combinations of probabilities and transition probabilities of two-component layers. Three basal XRD reflections, 5.1L7.6~ (P l), 8.9 ~ 0.2~ (P2), and 16.1~176 (P3) were selected for the quantification curves. A distinct relationship exists between a20~ (p2 Pl) and A202 (P3 -P2...

A simultaneous low-temperature X-ray powder-diffractometric (XRD)-DSC technique was applied to the solid state and melting process of frozen aqueous solutions of 2-propanol. 1H NMR spectra were also obtained at low temperatures. The chemical shifts of the CH3 proton and the CH proton can be classified into four temperature regions: higher than -20 degrees C, around -20 degrees C, -50 to -20 deg...
