This paper discusses the determination of an optimal maintenance policy for a repairable system exhibiting a linearly increasing hazard rate, a constant repair rate and a predetermined availability. Under the preventive maintenance policy, the system availability is guaranteed and the time interval between preventive maintenance actions incurring minimal cost is analysed and presented.

We present a fast simulated annealing algorithm for the problem of fault covering of redundant RAMS. The algorithm has been implemented and tested on various benchmark problems and has performed very well. Our simulations also indicate that the algorithm is very fast. For all the repairable chips tested, it took less than one second to find a repair solution.

Secret sharing schemes are widely used to protect data by breaking the secret into pieces and them amongst various members of a party. In this paper, our objective is produce repairable ramp scheme that allows for retrieval share through collection in event its loss. Repairable Threshold Schemes (RTSs) can be cloud storage General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) protocols. Secure energy-effic...

In large scale distributed storage systems (DSS) deployed in cloud computing, correlated failures resulting in simultaneous failure (or, unavailability) of blocks of nodes are common. In such scenarios, the stored data or a content of a failed node can only be reconstructed from the available live nodes belonging to the available blocks. To analyze the resilience of the system against such bloc...

The aim of this talk is to present the software tool MARS (Maintenance Assessment of Repairable Systems), developed by EDF R&D and Grenoble University. MARS implements imperfect maintenance (virtual age) models and estimates jointly the effects of ageing and maintenance (preventive and/or corrective) efficiency on real data sets from field feedback.

We study a repairable item inventory system under limited repair capacity and nonstationary Poisson demands, motivated by corrective maintenance of military equipment. Our goal is to minimize the cost of both spare and repair resource allocation. We propose an efficient analytical model that combines optimization modeling and queuing theory.
