Ideas of state space reconstruction of dynamics are combined with nonparametric artiicial neu-ral network approach to model sunspot activity. The structural aspects of the model are for the most part determined from the sunspot data. The model gives a very good t to the data. Further it predicts weaker solar activity in the current (23-rd) cycle, with a maximum of 14436.
Some nonlinear dynamical techniques, including state-space reconstruction and correlation integral, are used to analyze the light curve of 3C 273. The result is compared with a chaotic model. The similarities between them suggest that there is a low-dimensional chaotic attractor in the light curve of 3C 273.
We establish a general principle for the tomographic approach to quantum state reconstruction, till now based on a simple rotation transformation in the phase space, which allows us to consider other types of transformations. Then, we will present different realizations of the principle in specific examples.
