‎in this paper‎, ‎first we discuss a local stability analysis of model was introduced by p‎. ‎j‎. ‎mumby et‎. ‎al‎. ‎(2007)‎, ‎with $frac{gm^{2}}{m+t}$ as the functional response term‎. ‎we conclude that the grazing intensity is the important parameter to control the existence or extinction of the coral reef‎. ‎next‎, ‎we consider this model under the influence of the time delay as the bifurcat...

This paper addresses an approximation-based anti-windup (AW) control strategy for suppressing the windup effect caused by actuator saturation nonlinearity in proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controlled systems. The effect of actuator constraint is firstly regarded as a disturbance imported to the PID controller. The external disturbance can then be modeled by a linear differential equatio...

We study the stability and instability of periodic traveling waves for Korteweg-de Vries type equations with fractional dispersion and related, nonlinear dispersive equations. We show that a local constrained minimizer for a suitable variational problem is nonlinearly stable to period preserving perturbations. We then discuss when the associated linearized equation admits solutions exponentiall...

in this paper we have solved analytically the schrödinger equation for a microscopic particle in a one-dimensional box with two infinite walls, which the potential function inside it, has a linear form. based on the solutions of this special quantum mechanical system, we have shown that as the quantum number approaches infinity the expectation values of microscopic particle position and square ...

in this paper, an effective direct method to determine the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear fredholm and volterra integral and integro-differential equations is proposed. the method is based on expanding the required approximate solution as the elements of chebyshev cardinal functions. the operational matrices for the integration and product of the chebyshev cardinal functions are des...

We consider a generalized hyperelastic-rod wave equation (or generalized Camassa– Holm equation) describing nonlinear dispersive waves in compressible hyperelastic rods. We establish existence of a strongly continuous semigroup of global weak solutions for any initial data from H1(R). We also present a “weak equals strong”uniqueness result.

This paper extends the use of quantization–based integration methods to the simulation of hybrid systems. Using the fact that these methods approximate ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and differential algebraic equations (DAEs) by discrete event systems, it is shown how hybrid systems can be approximated by pure discrete event simulation models. In this way, the treatment and detection o...

Starting from the equations describing the equivalent dynamics of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), an equivalent dynamical differential algebraic equation (DAE) system is derived. It is shown that a procedure similar to the one available for ODEs can be used to construct an equivalent DAE system as well. The proposed method is shown to work with a class of discontinuous DAE systems typif...

The authors have developed a Taylor series method for solving numerically an initial-value problem differential algebraic equation (DAE) that can be of high index, high order, nonlinear, and fully implicit, see BIT 45:561–592, 2005 and BIT 41:364-394, 2001. Numerical results have shown this method to be efficient and very accurate, and particularly suitable for problems that are of too high an ...

in this paper mathematical extensions and generalizations of the pearl-reed model for'growth with saturation are discussed. the derived differential equation are of bernoulli and riccati type that owing to their special forms could be explicitely integrated resulting in closed form solutions. the asymptotic bahaviour of the system in each case is briefly examined and the results are compar...
