In this manuscript, we analyze the viscous fluid cosmological model in framework of recently proposed $f(Q)$ gravity by assuming three different forms bulk viscosity coefficients, specifically, $(i)\zeta =\zeta_{0}+\zeta_{1}\left( \frac{\dot{a}}{a}\right) +\zeta_{2}\left( \frac{{\ddot{a}}}{\dot{a}}\right) $, $(ii)\zeta \frac{\dot{a}}{a}\right)$, and $(iii)\zeta =\zeta_{0}$ a linear model, parti...

An energy-based, phase field model is developed for the coupling of two incompressible, immiscible complex fluid phases, in particular a nematic liquid crystal phase in a viscous fluid phase. The model consists of a system of coupled nonlinear partial differential equations for conservation of mass and momentum, phase transport, and interfacial boundary conditions. An efficient and easy-to-impl...

The present analysis deals with the steady, incompressible flow of a viscous fluid over a stretching sheet having a layer of porous medium of uniform thickness. The two-dimensional flow equations are derived in a Cartesian coordinate system. The semi-infinite region filled with a viscous fluid is divided into two regions namely, a clear fluid region and a region having a uniform pores. Darcy's ...

The entropy generation during hydromagnetic boundary layer flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid due to radial stretching sheet with Newtonian heating in the presence of a transverse magnetic field and the thermal radiation has been analyzed. The governing equations are then solved numerically by using the fourth order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique. The eff...

An initial-boundary value problem for one-dimensional flow of a compressible viscous heat-conducting micropolar fluid is considered, It is assumed that the fluid is thermodinamicaly perfect and politropic, A local-in-time existence and uniquenes theorem is proved,

We investigate cosmological models with a free scalar field and a viscous fluid. We find exact solutions for a linear and nonlinear viscosity pressure. Both yield singular and bouncing solutions. In the first regime, a de Sitter stage is asymptotically stable, while in the second case we find power-law evolutions for vanishing cosmological constant. PACS 04.20 Jb, 04.40 Nr, 98.80 Hw

Abstract: The level set method for compressible flows [13] is simple to implement, especially in the presence of topological changes. However, this method was shown to suffer from large spurious oscillations in [11]. In [4], a new Ghost Fluid Method (GFM) was shown to remove these spurious oscillations by minimizing the numerical smearing in the entropy field with the help of an Isobaric Fix [6...

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods for viscous computations often require high quality computational meshes. The viscous layer area needs to be meshed at a high resolution, leading to highly anisotropic meshes. The methodology developed in this article addresses this issue, enabling the creation of a viscous layer in a tetrahedral (or hybrid polyhedral) mesh, so that the inner meshing i...
