本稿では,岩石や水の重要な物性である比熱について,簡易に測定可能な実験方法を開発し,試行実践を行った。その結果,水については,理論値よりも過大評価される傾向があったが,岩石については,ほぼ妥当な値を得ることができた。海陸風や季節風の成因を理解するためには,岩石と水の比熱が大きく異なることを理解することが非常に重要である。本稿の方法では具体的に水と岩石の比熱を得ることができ,岩石と水では4倍前後の比熱の違いがあることを理解するために十分な結果が得られた。
