We present a method of annotating very large arguments, with the use IMC-Tool. IMC-Tool aids in creating long-distance argument structure relations, by providing simple annotation tool, and integration software to synthesise annotations at scale.
Many of our concepts are introduced to us via, and seem only to be constrained by, roughand-ready explanations and some sample paradigm positive and negative applications. This happens even in informal logic and mathematics. Yet in some cases, the concepts in question – although only informally and vaguely characterized – in fact have, or appear to have, entirely determinate extensions. Here’s ...
A comparison of Landin’s form of lambda calculus with Church’s shows that, independently of the lambda calculus, there exists a mechanism for converting functions with arguments indexed by variables to the usual kind of function where the arguments are indexed numerically. We call this the “lambda mechanism” and show how it can be used in other calculi. In first-order predicate logic it can be ...
Argumentation is a process of evaluating and comparing a set of arguments. A way to compare them consists in using a ranking-based semantics which rank-order arguments from the most to the least acceptable ones. Recently, a number of such semantics have been proposed independently, often associated with some desirable properties. However, there is no comparative study which takes a broader pers...

This paper investigates the relation between logics for defeasible conditionals and systems for defeasible argumentation. Starting from the assumption that the construction of arguments and the comparison of incompatible arguments are independent phenomena, it is argued that connict resolution plays a role not only in reasoning with, but also in reasoning about defaults. Since in the latter pha...
In-depth interviews were conducted in 2007 with 175 undergraduate students (94 males, 81 females, 13 non-Caucasian) at a large, public southeastern research university located in an urban area in the United States. Our primary goal was to identify how these students conceive of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) stimulants and their illegal use. We discovered that these students fr...
This paper describes an interfacing of C and the TMS320C6713 assembly language which is crucially important for many real-time applications. Similarly, interfacing of C with the assembly language of a conventional microprocessor such as MC68000 is presented for comparison. However, it should be noted that the way the C compiler passes arguments among various functions in the TMS320C6713-based e...
Compensatory efforts, positive discrimination or reverse discrimination are the terms which nowadays are used in applied ethics for a set of efforts and privileges which are scheduled for compensation of the historical oppressions and discriminations imposed upon some groups and classes in the society. The mentioned oppressions and discriminations may be applied deliberately or inadvertently or...
