Indenyl-functionalised BEt(3)-adduct NHCs were prepared by the reaction of imidazolium pro-ligands with LiBEt(3)H. This compound was converted into the indenyl-coordinate molybdenum complex dangling the NHC·BEt(3) moiety as a substituent. The stepwise coordination of NHC afforded a chelate-type mononuclear complex as well as a bimetallic complex.

Abstract Studtite is known to exist at the back-end of nuclear fuel cycle as an intermediate phase formed in reprocessing spent fuel. In thermal decomposition studtite, amorphous obtained calcination temperatures between 200 and 500 °C. This compound, referred elsewhere literature U 2 O 7 , has been characterised by analytical spectroscopic methods. The local structure compound found contain ur...

Bioinorganic medicinal chemistry remains a hot field for research aimed at developing novel anti-cancer treatments. Discovery of metal complexes as potent antitumor chemotherapeutics such as cisplatin led to a significant shift of focus toward organometallic/ bioinorganic compounds containing transition metals and their chelates as novel scaffolds for drug discovery. In that way, transition met...

Riboflavin synthase catalyses a mechanistically complex dismutation affording riboflavin and 5-amino-6-ribitylamino-2,4(1H,3H )-pyrimidinedione from 6,7-dimethyl-8-ribityllumazine. A pentacyclic adduct (compound 2 ) of two substrate molecules was used as substrate for pre-steady-state kinetic analysis. Whereas the wild-type enzyme catalyses the decomposition of compound 2 into a mixture of ribo...

Ribonuclease inhibitor is an acidic protein, soluble in cytoplasm. It is abundantly present in human placenta. It could be extracted from this organ to the extent of 1mg/placenta using chemical ion exchange and affinity techniques. Molecular weight of this protein is estimated by electophoresis or SDS-PAG electrophoresis using standards of known proteins. Molecular weight has been found to be 4...

When rabbit muscle phosphorylase reconstituted with pyridoxal (5’)-diphospho(l)-a-~-glucose is incubated with glycogen, its glucosyl moiety is transferred to the nonreducing end of glycogen with the formation of a new a-1,4-glucosidic linkage. This finding provided the first evidence for the direct phosphate-phosphate interaction between the coenzyme pyridoxal 5’phosphate and the substrate a-D-...

In an attempt to prepare the tris(selenoureato)gallium(III) complex [Ga(4-O2NC6H4C(O)NC(Se)NEt2)3] from the reaction of the nitro-substituted acylselenourea 4-O2NC6H4C(O)NHC(Se)NEt2 with [Ga(NO3)3] in EtOH we obtained a crystalline compound from a CH2Cl2 solution which was identified as the bis(selenoureato)gallium(III)chlorido complex [GaCl(4O2NC6H4C(O)NC(Se)NEt2)2] by single-crystal X-ray dif...
