Using a waveguide microwave filter, the electron density in an argon plasma jet of dielectric barrier discharge was determined. The dynamic behavior during period applied voltage with frequency about 100 kHz 4 maxima average concentration, which are 10 13 cm -3 , were observed. We will report on crosslinking of ceramides molecules in the stratum corneum of a live pig by non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure asymmetric dielectric barrier discharge treatment. This crosslinking leads to formation of temporary pores in the skin, leading to increased permeability of the skin which we have validated with vitamin D.

A combination of experiments and extensive modelling, including a chemical kinetics analysis, was performed for a CO2/H2O plasma in a dielectric barrier discharge. This provides a better understanding of the mechanisms related to the reactivity of the plasma and of the conversions into value-added products, such as methanol.
