We are experimentally investigating possible violations of standard quantum mechanics predictions in the Gran Sasso underground laboratory in Italy. We test with high precision the Pauli Exclusion Principle and the collapse of the wave function (collapse models). We present our method of searching for possible small violations of the Pauli Exclusion Principle (PEP) for electrons, through the se...
While it was known that all models of a Horn formula can be generated in outputpolynomial time, here we present an explicit algorithm as opposed to the rather vague oracle-scheme suggested in the proof of [6, Thm.4]. It is an instance of some principle of exclusion that compactly (thus not one by one) generates all models of certain Boolean formulae given in CNF. The principle of exclusion can ...
It is known that the competitive exclusion principle holds for a large kind of models involving several species competing for a single resource in an homogeneous environment. Various works indicate that the coexistence is possible in an heterogeneous environment. We propose a spatially heterogeneous system modeling the competition of several species for a single resource. If spatial movements a...
Orthofermi statistics is characterized by an exclusion principle which is more “exclusive” than Pauli’s exclusion principle: an orbital state shall not contain more than one particle, no matter what the spin direction is. The wavefunction is antisymmetric in spatial indices alone with arbitrary symmetry in the spin indices. Orthobose statistics is corresponding Bose analog: the wavefunction is ...
We examine the eeect of the excluded volume interactions on the density proole and other related physical quantities as a classical version of the Pauli exclusion principle. We rst introduce a lattice model of random walk of classical particles where the Pauli's exclusion principle operates in real space and show that it reproduces exactly the Fermi-Dirac distribution and satisses the relation ...
We present a new and elementary proof of some recent improvements of the classical inclusion-exclusion bounds. The key idea is to use an injective mapping, similar to the bijective mapping in Garsia and Milne’s “bijective” proof of the classical inclusion-exclusion principle.
It is shown how to construct many-particle quantum-mechanical spectra of particles obeying multispecies exclusion statistics, both in one and in two dimensions. These spectra are derived from the generalized exclusion principle and yield the same thermodynamic quantities as deduced from Haldane’s multiplicity formula. We prove hydrostatics of boundary driven gradient exclusion processes, Fick’s law and we present a simple proof of the dynamical large deviations principle which holds in any dimension.
