This study after reviewing  construction methods of generators in Archimedean copulas (AC),  proposes several useful lemmas related with generators of AC. Then a new trigonometric Archimedean family will be shown which is based on cotangent function. The generated new family is able to model the low dependence structures.

this study aims to investigate value conflicts between mothers and their daughters among families and influential factors on this conflict in yazd city. this study adopted a survey method and a questionnaire was used that its validity through construct validity (factor analysis) and its reliability by cronbach alpha were measured. the population of this study consists of all yazdian families th...

Although actin is often thought of as a single protein, in mammals it actually consists of six different isoforms encoded by separate genes. Each isoform is remarkably similar to every other isoform, with only slight variations in amino acid sequence. Nevertheless, recent work indicates that actin isoforms carry out unique cellular functions. Here, we review evidence drawn from localization stu...

Rapid progress in multiple genome projects continues to feed databases in the world a large volume of sequence data. In this 'post-genomic' era, more efficient and reliable sequence annotation, especially functional annotation of protein sequences, is crucial. Although experimental confirmation is ultimately required, computational annotation of protein sequences has been routinely done, and it...

Arfs are a family of Ras-related GTP-binding proteins that function in the regulation of membrane trafficking and structure. The six mammalian Arf proteins are expressed ubiquitously and so it is anticipated that each will have a distinct localization and function within the cell. It has been assumed that much of this specificity will be defined by determining which regulators of Arfs, the GEFs...

Family resemblance for normal pulmonary function as measured by forced vital capacity and one second forced expiration volume is assessed using a path analysis model which incorporates sex differences in transmissibility of the phenotype from parents to offspring as well as in the effect of a correlated shared-sibling environment. Application of this model, called XTAU, to familial correlations...

This paper describes the evolution of StreamHash cryptographic hash function family proposed by the author. The first member of the StreamHash family was StreamHash (now called StreamHash1) function, accepted for the first round of SHA-3 competition organized by the US government standards agency NIST. The competition has been started in order to select a new SHA-3 standard as the successor of ...

The lipocalin protein family is a large group of small extracellular proteins. The family demonstrates great diversity at the sequence level; however, most lipocalins share three characteristic conserved sequence motifs, the kernel lipocalins, while a group of more divergent family members, the outlier lipocalins, share only one. Belying this sequence dissimilarity, lipocalin crystal structures...

The Cation Diffusion Facilitators (CDFs) form a family of membrane-bound proteins capable of transporting zinc and other heavy metal ions. Involved in metal tolerance/resistance by efflux of ions, CDF proteins share a two-modular architecture consisting of a transmembrane domain (TMD) and C-terminal domain (CTD) that protrudes into the cytoplasm. Discovery of a Zn²⁺ and Cd²⁺ CDF transporter fro...
