Several new fixed point results for compact permissible self maps in extension type spaces are presented in this paper.

In this paper, we prove some common fixed point results for pair of rational type of contractive mappings in the setting of complex valued b-metric spaces. Our results extend, generalize and improve the corresponding results of A. K .Dubey’ [48]. In this paper, we study the existence of global solutions for a class of impulsive abstract functional differential equation with nonlocal conditions. The results are obtained by using the Leray-Schauder alternative fixed point theorem. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

We give short new geometric proofs of theorems of Bogley and Pride and of Serre. Both follow quickly from a global fixed point theorem. The Bogley–Pride theorem concerns aspherical relative group presentations and was applied in [5] to the multivariable adjunction problem. Serre’s theorem is a basic result concerning group cohomology and finite subgroups.
