We report a case of isolated bladder varices that manifested with sudden onset, gross hematuria, in a 44-year-old male with no co-morbid conditions. Varicosities were discovered on cystoscopy. Conditions to look out for in such a situation are discussed.

A renal myoepithelial hamartoma presented as a lucent filling defect with gross hematuria in an adult female. Preoperative studies caused conflicting impressions. The predominance of smooth muscle and incorporated tubuloepithelial elements characterize the tumor as a hamartoma of myoepithelial type. Pertinent review of the literature confirms the rarity of this lesion in adults.

A 75-yr-old previously healthy woman presented with gross hematuria, European Cooperative Oncology Group 0, and an 11-cm renal mass with right atrial thrombus. The patient refused the sternotomy. She was offered two cycles of sunitinib maleate (Sutent) induction therapy to down-stage the thrombus and to reduce the extent of the surgery.

Renal lymphangiectasia is a rare renal condition. We present a case of bilateral renal lymphangiectasia in a 52-year-old man who presented with bilateral flank pain and gross hematuria. The clinical features, diagnosis and characteristic imaging findings are reviewed. This condition should be considered in the differential diagnosis of cystic renal masses in both children and adults.
