We construct an explicit solution of the Cauchy initial value problem for the onedimensional Schrödinger equation with time-dependent Hamiltonian operator for the forced harmonic oscillator. The corresponding Green function (propagator) is derived with the help of the generalized Fourier transform and a relation with representations of the Heisenberg–Weyl group N (3) in a certain special case a...

In this paper, the Schwarz boundary value problem (BVP) for the inhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann equation in a triangle is investigated explicitly. Firstly, by the technique of parquetingreflection and the Cauchy-Pompeiu representation formula a modified Cauchy-Schwarz representation formula is obtained. Then, the solution of the Schwarz BVP is explicitly solved. In particular, the boundary behavio...
The general construction of semiclassically concentrated solutions to the Hartree type equation, based on the complex WKB-Maslov method, is presented. The formal solutions of the Cauchy problem for this equation, asymptotic in small parameter ( → 0), are constructed with a power accuracy of O( N/2), where N is any natural number. In constructing the semiclassically concentrated solutions, a set...
We show that the classical Cauchy problem for the incompressible 3d Navier-Stokes equations with (−1)-homogeneous initial data has a global scale-invariant solution which is smooth for positive times. Our main technical tools are local-in-space regularity estimates near the initial time, which are of independent interest.
We consider the conformal Einstein equations for massless colli-sionless gas cosmologies which admit an isotropic singularity. After developing the general theory, we restrict to spatially-homogeneous cosmologies. We show that the Cauchy problem for these equations is well-posed with data consisting of the limiting particle distribution function at the singularity.
Abstract. It is well known that the ratio of two independent standard Gaussian random variables follows a Cauchy distribution. Any convex combination of independent standard Cauchy random variables also follows a Cauchy distribution. In a recent joint work [PM16], the author proved a surprising multivariate generalization of the above facts. Fix m > 1 and let Σ be a m × m positive semi-definite...
In this note we develop tools to study the Cauchy problem for the system of thermo-elasticity in higher dimensions. The theory is developed for general homogeneous anisotropic media under non-degeneracy conditions. For degenerate cases a method of treatment is sketched and for the cases of cubic media and hexagonal media detailed studies are provided.
We consider the non-linear spatially homogeneous Landau equation with Maxwellian molecules in a close-to-equilibrium framework and show that the Cauchy problem for the fluctuation around the Maxwellian equilibrium distribution enjoys a Gelfand-Shilov regularizing effect in the class S 1/2 1/2(R ), implying the ultra-analyticity of both the fluctuation and its Fourier transform, for any positive...
