In this paper, we study $L^p$-conjecture on locally compact hypergroups and by some technical proofs we give some sufficient and necessary conditions for a weighted Lebesgue space $L^p(K,w)$ to be a convolution Banach algebra, where $1<p<infty$, $K$ is a locally compact hypergroup and $w$ is a weight function on $K$. Among the other things, we also show that if $K$ is a locally compact hyper...
We compare the K-theory and K-homology of the well known CAR algebra. While the K0 group is infinitely generated, we show that it pairs identically to zero with even Fredholm modules over the algebra. We show further that in fact the even K-homology is trivial, while the odd K-homology group is very large. These results give some insight into the K-homology of AF-algebras. 1. The CAR algebra We...
Given a Lie algebra g over a field of characteristic zero k, let μ(g) = min{dimπ : π is a faithful representation of g}. Let hm be the Heisenberg Lie algebra of dimension 2m + 1 over k and let k[t] be the polynomial algebra in one variable. Given m ∈ N and p ∈ k[t], let hm,p = hm ⊗ k[t]/(p) be the current Lie algebra associated to hm and k[t]/(p), where (p) is the principal ideal in k[t] genera...
It is known that characters of BPS representations of extended superconformal algebras do not have good modular properties due to extra singular vectors coming from the BPS condition. In order to improve their modular properties we apply the method of Zwegers which has recently been developed to analyze modular properties of mock theta functions. We consider the case of N = 4 superconformal alg...
We show that the endomorphism ring of any nonzero finitely generated projective module over Leavitt path algebra LK(E) an arbitrary graph E with coefficients in a field K is isomorphic to Steinberg algebra. This yields particular every corner its turn gives K-algebra local units which Morita equivalent row-countable Moreover, we prove by projection C⁎-algebra countable ample groupoid.
Let R be a Dedekind domain, G an affine flat R-group scheme, and B a flat R-algebra on which G acts. Let A → BG be an R-algebra map. Assume that A is Noetherian. We show that if the induced map K ⊗ A → (K ⊗ B)K⊗G is an isomorphism for any algebraically closed field K which is an R-algebra, then S ⊗A→ (S ⊗B)S⊗G is an isomorphism for any R-algebra S.
We compute the K-theory of the C*-algebra of symmetric words in two universal unitaries. This algebra is the fixed point C*-algebra for the order-two automorphism of the full C*algebra of the free group on two generators which switches the generators. Our calculations relate the K -theory of this C*-algebra to the K-theory of the associated C*-crossed-product by Z2.
The ground field k is algebraically closed and of characteristic zero. Let g be a reductive algebraic Lie algebra. Classical results of Kostant [7] give a fairly complete invarianttheoretic picture of the (co)adjoint representation of g. Let σ ∈ Aut(g) be an involution and g = g0 ⊕ g1 the corresponding Z2-grading. Associated to this decomposition, there is a non-reductive Lie algebra k = g0 ⋉ g...
1 Under the microscope 1.1 Osculating spaces of homogeneous varieties Let G be a simply connected complex semisimple Lie group, g its Lie algebra, and g its tensor algebra. The universal envelopping algebra of U(g) is the quotient of this tensor algebra by the ideal generated by the elements xy ? yx ? x; y], x; y 2 g. This quotient algebra inherits a ltration from the natural grading of the ten...
For a full semi-AFL K, B(K) is defined as the family of languages generated by all K-extended basic macro grammars, while H(K) 5 B(K) is the smallest full hyper-AFL containing K, a full basic-AFL is a full AFL K such that B(K) = K (hence every full basic-AFL is a full hyper-AFL). For any full semi-AFL K, K is a full basic-AFL if and only if B(K) is substitution closed if and only if H(K) is a f...
