A major part of membrane function is conducted by proteins, both integral and peripheral. Peripheral membrane proteins temporarily adhere to biological membranes, either to the lipid bilayer or to integral membrane proteins with noncovalent interactions. The aim of this study was to construct and analyze the interactions of the human plasma membrane peripheral proteins (peripherome hereinafter)...

We propose a computational framework to study the lipid-mediated clustering of integral membrane proteins. Our method employs a hierarchical approach. The potential of mean force (PMF) of two interacting proteins is computed under a coarse-grained 3-D model that successfully describes the structural properties of reconstituted lipid bilayers of dymiristoylphophatidylcholine (DMPC) molecules. Su...

In this lecture, we will discuss a class of quantum mechanical actions which we believe are one appropriate starting point for defining Matrix theory in curved backgrounds. This is in part based on the works [16] and [25], and on work in progress with A. Kato and H. Ooguri. But first, let us give some historical background. A central lesson from the physics of D-branes [12,38,39] was a new and ...

The infrared regime of fermionic Green and vertex functions is studied analytically within a geometric approach which simulates soft interactions by an effective theory of contours. Expanding the particle path integral in terms of dominant contours at large distances, all-order results in the coupling constant are obtained for the renormalized fermion propagator and a universal vertex function ...

It is shown that quantum mechanical systems obtained from a heuristic path integral quantization of lagrangians of the form L = ∑ n 1 n! fn(q)q̇ n violate in general the correspondence principle, unless L is not more than quadratic in q̇. The field theoretic counterpart of this result and its consequence on models of interacting scalar and vector fields and particularly the electroweak interactio...

We present an effective model for SU(2) Yang-Mills theory, the pseudoparticle approach. The basic idea is to restrict the path integral to those gauge field configurations, which can be written as a sum over a small number of pseudoparticles, and to replace the integration over all field configurations by an integration over pseudoparticle degrees of freedom, e.g. amplitudes and color orientati...

The new method of investigation of strongly correlated electronic system is presented. Using this method we have derived the superstring from 2D Hubbard model. The novel expression for generalized supercoherent state has been calculated. 1. Nowadays the Hubbard model attracts considerable attention. This model is incorporated in several profound theoretical projects, proposed in [1] for example...

in this work, a new iterative method is proposed for obtaining the approximate solution of a class of hammerstein type integral equations system. the main structure of this method is based on the richardson iterative method for solving an algebraic linear system of equations. some conditions for existence and unique solution of this type equations are imposed. convergence analysis and error bou...

in this paper, existence theorems for the fuzzy volterra-fredholm integral equations of mixed type (fvfiemt) involving fuzzy number valued mappings have been investigated. then, by using banach's contraction principle, sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique solution of fvfiemt are given. finally, illustrative examples are presented to validate the obtained results.
