In this paper, we introduce the notion of Dunkl-classical orthogonal polynomials. Then, we show that generalized Hermite and generalized Gegenbauer polynomials are the only Dunkl-classical symmetric orthogonal polynomials by solving a suitable differential-difference equation. 2006 Elsevier Inc.
