Removing the condition of symmetry in the notion of a fuzzy (pseudo)metric, in Kramosil and Michalek’s sense, one has the notion of a fuzzy quasi-(pseudo-)metric. Then for each fuzzy quasi-pseudo-metric on a set X we construct a fuzzy quasipseudo-metric on the collection of all nonempty subsets of X, called the Hausdorff fuzzy quasi-pseudo-metric. We investigate several properties of this struc...

In the paper [9] we introduced the class of generalized metric spaces. These spaces simultaneously generalize ‘standard’ metric spaces, probabilistic metric spaces and fuzzy metric spaces. We show that every generalized metric space is, naturally, a uniform space. Thus we can use standard topological techniques to study, for example, probabilistic metric spaces. We illustrate this by proving a ...

In this paper, we introduce the notion of an extended metric space ($p$-metric space) as a new generalization of the concept of $b$-metric space. Also, we present the concept of $(psi ,varphi )_{Omega}$-contractive mappings and we establish some fixed point results for this class of mappings in ordered complete $p$-metric spaces. Our results generalize several well...

The paper is devoted to isometric Banach-space-theoretical structure of transportation cost (TC) spaces on finite metric spaces. TC are also known as Arens-Eells, Lipschitz-free, or Wasserstein A new notion a roadmap pertinent problem space has been introduced and used simplify proofs for the results representation quotients $$\ell _1$$ edge set over cycle space. Tolstoi-type theorem roadmaps p...

A metric space can be naturally endowed with both a topology and a coarse structure. We examine the converse to this. Given a topology and a coarse structure we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a metric giving rise to both of these. We conclude with an application to the construction of the coarse assembly map.

Partial metric spaces were introduced by Matthews in 1994 as a part of the study of denotational semantics of data flow networks. In 2014 Asadi and {it et al.} [New Extension of $p$-Metric Spaces with Some fixed point Results on $M$-metric paces, J. Ineq. Appl. 2014 (2014): 18] extend the Partial metric spaces to $M$-metric spaces. In this work, we introduce the class of $F(psi,varphi)$-contrac...

A framework for the validation of axiomatic structure metrics is presented. In a case study, the comprehen-sibility of type expressions in the functional programming language Miranda' has been investigated. A structure metric for the comprehensibility of type expressions has been developed together with internal and external axioms. This structure metric has been validated experimentally. The c...
