In this paper we propose an almost optimal indirect adaptive controller for input/state dynamical systems. The control part of the adaptive scheme is based o n a modified L Q control law: by adding a time varying gain to the certainty equivalent control law we avoid the conflict between identification and control.

This communication describes a simple sensitive one-step potentiometric aptasensing method for quantitative detection of referenced therapeutic biomarker (programmed death-ligand 1, PD−L1). The aptasensor is constructed by modifying PD−L1-specific aptamer on Ti3C2-MXene nanosheets-functionalized electrode. Introduction PD−L1 induces the specific reaction between and aptamer, thereby resulting i...

In this study, a new adaptive controller is proposed for position control of pneumatic systems. Difficulties associated with the mathematical model of the system in addition to the instability caused by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) in the learning-based controllers using gradient descent, motivate the development of a new approach for PWM pneumatics. In this study, two modified Feedback Error L...

AIM The lack of potent innate immune responses during HCV infection might lead to a delay in initiating adaptive immune responses. Kupffer cells (KCs) and liver-infiltrating monocytes/macrophages (CD68+ cells) are essential to establish effective anti-HCV responses. They express co-stimulatory molecules, CD80 and CD86. CD86 upregulation induces activator responses that are then potentially regu...

Sometimes conventional feedback controllers may not perform well online because of the variation in process dynamics due to nonlinear actuators, changes in environmental conditions and variation in the character of the disturbances. To overcome the above problem, this paper deals with the designing of a controller for a second order system with Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) scheme usi...

This paper addresses the estimation of time delay between two spatially separated noisy signals by system identification modeling with the input and output corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise. The proposed method is based on a modified adaptive Butler-Cantoni equalizer that decouples noise variance estimation from channel estimation. The bias in time delay estimates that is induced by in...

Tuning controller parameters is a recurring and time-consuming problem in control. This is especially true in the field of adaptive control, where good performance is typically only achieved after significant tuning. Recently, it has been shown that constrained Bayesian optimization is a promising approach to automate the tuning process without risking system failures during the optimization pr...

This paper considers the problem of using approximate methods for realizing the neural controllers for nonlinear multivariable systems. In [1] the NARMA-L1 and NARMA-L2 models were introduced as approximations of he NARMA model used for the representation of a SISO nonlinear dynamical systems. The advantage obtained from using NARMA-L1 and NARMA-L2 models is that control input u(k) occurs linea...

UNLABELLED Type I IFN signaling, which is initiated through activation of the alpha interferon receptor (IFNAR), regulates the expression of proteins that are crucial contributors to immune responses. Paramyxoviruses, including human metapneumovirus (HMPV), have evolved mechanisms to inhibit IFNAR signaling, but the specific contribution of IFNAR signaling to the control of HMPV replication, pa...

The inverse multiquadric radial basis function (RBF), which is one of the most important functions in theory RBFs, employed on an adaptive mesh points for pricing a fractional Black–Scholes partial differential equation (PDE) based modified RL derivative. To solve this problem, discretization along space carried out non-uniform grid order to focus hot area, at initial condition model, i.e., pay...
