We propose in this paper an approach for recognizing either isolated individual, group of people or crowd behaviors in the context of visual surveillance of metro scenes using multiple cameras. In this context, a behavior recognition module relies on a vision module composed of three tasks: (a) motion detection and frame to frame tracking, (b) multiple cameras combination and (c) long term trac...

Operator representations of the cross product ∗-algebra O(S2 qc)⋊Uq(su2) of the Hopf ∗-algebra Uq(su2) and its module ∗-algebras O(S2 qc) of Podles’ spheres are studied. Two classes of representations are described by explicit formulas for the actions of the generators.

Let $R$ be a ring, $sigma$ be an endomorphism of $R$ and $M_R$ be a $sigma$-rigid module. A module $M_R$ is called quasi-Baer if the right annihilator of a principal submodule of $R$ is generated by an idempotent. It is shown that an $R$-module $M_R$ is a quasi-Baer module if and only if $M[[x]]$ is a quasi-Baer module over the skew power series ring $R[[x,sigma]]$.

This paper reports my progress in modifying the classical theory of decision and rationality in order to make it more compatible with reported experiences and observed actions of decision makers, .as well as in restructuring it so that it would fit as a module into a theory of intention (experience and action) that I am trying to construct.

We describe a generic ECA service for implementing behavior using heterogeneous languages in the Semantic Web. The module details and implements our recent work on an ontology and language concept for a modular approach to ECA rules in the Semantic Web. The ECA level provides generic functionality independent from the actual languages and semantics of event detection, queries, and actions.

It is obtained a Wold-type decomposition for an adjointable isometry on a Hilbert C∗-module which is sequentially complete with respect to some locally convex topology, denoted by s. Particularly self-dual Hilbert C∗-modules satisfy this condition. Finally, as an application we shall give a new proof of the Wold decomposition theorem for discrete stationary processes in complete correlated acti...

We define comodule algebras and Galois extensions for actions of bialgebroids. Using just module conditions we characterize the Frobenius extensions that are Galois as depth two and right balanced extensions. As a corollary, we obtain characterizations of certain weak and ordinary Hopf-Galois extensions without reference to action in the hypothesis. 2000 AMS Subject Classification: 13B05, 16W30

We introduce an invariant, called mean rank, for any module M of the integral group ring of a discrete amenable group Γ, as an analogue of the rank of an abelian group. It is shown that the mean dimension of the induced Γ-action on the Pontryagin dual of M, the mean rank of M, and the von Neumann-Lück rank of M all coincide. As applications, we establish an addition formula for mean dimension o...

We are currently working on designing clients for Robocup-Simulation-League in Prolog and C++. We feel that logic and deduction is an appropriate approach for this task. A single player is part of a team and he has to deduce information on his situation. For example, players have to recognize when passing the ball is possible or a player is ooside. But, almost naturally, tasks to be solved by a...

In this paper we study the module contractibility ofBanach algebras and characterize them in terms the conceptssplitting and admissibility of short exact sequences. Also weinvestigate module contractibility of Banach algebras with theconcept of the module diagonal.
