| In this paper the identiication of non-linear systems by Volterra Systems (VS) and a special class of VS called Linearly decomposable Volterra Systems (LDVS) is considered. The results obtained for diierent nonlinear systems with VS and LDVS are studied in detail. A clear improvement in performance is observed if a LDVS is used instead of a VS.

The proof is based on a monotonicity assumption which does not imply the monotonicity of the operators appearing in the Volterra equation.

Lotka Volterra model and its modified forms have long become a major area of interest for periodic motions in nonlinear systems with competitive species. The model given by Volterra shows that its periodicity is dependent on initial condition. This characteristics allows us to calculate the effect of periodic seasonal changes on population densities of different species.
