CBaR: cardiac baroreflex response CPBG: 1-(m-chlorophenyl)-biguanide DMH: dorsomedial nucleus of the hypothalamus dPAG: dorsal part of the periaqueductal gray ECG: electrocardiogram HR: heart rate MBP: mean blood pressure NTS: nucleus tractus solitarius SBaR: sympathetic baroreflex response 3 ABSTRACT Different stressful conditions elicit a typical behaviour called the defense reaction. Our aim...
purpose: to present a patient with localized corneal edema due to a small retained fragment of nucleus in the anterior chamber after uncomplicated phacoemulsification. case report: a 74-year-old female subject with history of phacoemulsification in her right eye about 1.5 years ago complained of foreign body sensation, pain and decreased vision in the same eye. visual acuity of that eye had dec...
The most successful reaction type for the production of heavy nuclei is fusion of two colliding nuclei to form an excited compound nucleus, which subsequently deexcites by evaporation of few neutrons [1]. However, this so called fusion-evaporation reaction is strongly dominated by the fusion–fission reaction which is the main deexcitation channel of the excited compound nuclei [2]. Thus, the in...
A one pot domino protocol for an efficient synthesis of 7-arylbenzo[c]acridine-5,6-diones, with a novel nucleus, has been developed by reacting 2-hydroxynaphthalene-1,4-dione, aromatic aldehydes and aromatic amines using environmentally benevolent p-toluene sulphonic acid as a catalyst. An exciting feature of this communication is the reaction mechanism that depends on the reaction solvent.
The cross section for the reaction 39~ K(e, ep)Ar is computed, and the dependence of the FSI on the initial polarization angles of the nucleus K is analyzed. The results are explained in a semi-classical picture of the reaction. This procedure allows us to find the best initial kinematical conditions for minimizing the FSI.
The new Atomki-V2 ?-nucleus potential is applied to calculate astrophysical reaction rates NA??v? of intermediate mass and heavy target nuclei from iron (Z=26) up bismuth (Z=83). Overall, ?-induced reactions are provided for 4359 nuclei, covering as well neutron-deficient extremely neutron-rich the proton neutron dripline. Contrary previous rate compilations, these calculations include all rele...
