We investigate the performance of five approaches to scheduling a Japanese printed wiring board manufacturer's drilling operation subject to uncertainty. We present and evaluate two optimization approaches against three dispatching heuristics in order to determine how five performance measures are impacted by various levels of processing time variability and equipment breakdowns.

Sheet metal forming die technologies show great progress in the industry daily. dies design depends on many parameters such as product's geometry, dimensions to be designed, number of products, and part operation. The main purpose designs is with optimum obtain high-quality products. One reasons for these errors damage elements during This studyanalyzed final process sheet using a progressive tw...

Direct Capillary Nanofiltration (Direct CNF) is a new technique used for surface water and wastewater treatment in one step without pre-treatment. The CNF membrane module combines the favourable cleaning properties of capillary ultrafiltration membranes with the favourable separation properties of nanofiltration membranes in terms of removal of DOC, colour, bacteria, viruses and pesticides. Dir...

It is very important to reduce drilling costs because the cost of drilling the wells is approximately 50% in geothermal energy development for electric power generation. Lost Circulation (LC) is serious problem that contributes greatly to the cost of drilling and completion of the geothermal wells. LC also can be the cause of formation collapse and/or stuck drill strings as well as failure in c...

The possibilities to use capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) as a preparative tool have been studied, mostly from a theoretical point of view. The preparative performance of CZE is quantitated by the production rate, the amount of analyte that can be purified per unit of time. The production rate available with CZE is shown to depend in the first place on the chemical characteristics of the an...
