At present paper, we establish the existence of pullback $mathcal{D}$-attractor for the process associated with non-autonomous partly dissipative reaction-diffusion equation in $L^2(mathbb{R}^n)times L^2(mathbb{R}^n)$. In order to do this, by energy equation method we show that the process, which possesses a pullback $mathcal{D}$-absorbing set, is pullback $widehat{D}_0$-asymptotically compact.

Given a positive function F on S which satisfies a convexity condition, for 1 ≤ r ≤ n, we define the r-th anisotropic mean curvature function H r for hypersurfaces in R which is a generalization of the usual r-th mean curvature function. We prove that a compact embedded hypersurface without boundary in R with H r = constant is the Wulff shape, up to translations and homotheties. In case r = 1, ...

The critical problem of CFD is perhaps an accurate approximation of derivatives for a given discrete data set. Based on our previous work on the weighted compact scheme (WCS), a modified weighted compact scheme (MWCS) has been developed. Similar to WENO, three high order candidates, left, right, and central, are constructed by Hermite polynomials. According to the smoothness, three weights are ...

A key requirement for using memristors in functional circuits is a predictive physical model to capture the resistive switching behavior, which shall be compact enough to be implemented using a circuit simulator. Although a number of memristor models have been developed, most of these models (i.e., first-order memristor models) have utilized only a one-state-variable. However, such simplificati...

High order integro-differential equations (IDE), especially nonlinear, are usually difficult to solve even for approximate solutions. In this paper, we give a high accurate compact finite difference method to efficiently solve integro-differential equations, including high order and nonlinear problems. By numerical experiments, we show that compact finite difference method of integro-differenti...

We consider graph properties that can be checked from labels, i.e., bit sequences, of logarithmic length attached to vertices. We prove that there exists such a labeling for checking a first-order formula with free set variables in the graphs of every class that is nicely locally clique-width-decomposable. This notion generalizes that of a nicely locally tree-decomposable class. The graphs of s...

Maximal elements of a binary relation on compact subsets of a metric space define a choice function. An infinite extension of transitivity is necessary and sufficient for such a choice function to be nonempty-valued and path independent (or satisfy the outcast axiom). An infinite extension of acyclicity is necessary and sufficient for the choice function to have nonempty values provided the und...

We consider finite volume methods for the numerical solution of conservation laws. In order to achieve high-order accurate numerical approximation to non-linear smooth functions, we introduce a new class of limiter functions for the spatial reconstruction of hyperbolic equations. We therefore employ and generalize the idea of double-logarithmic reconstruction of Artebrant and Schroll [R. Artebr...

We present a fourth order compact nite diierence scheme on the face centered cubic (FCC) grids for the numerical solution of the two dimensional convection diiusion equation. The seven point formula is deened on a regular hexagon, where the strategy of directional derivative is employed to make the derivation procedure straightforward, eecient, and concise. A corresponding multigrid method is d...

This paper presents the results of using high-order compact schemes with a high-order filter on multi-block domains. The Linearized Euler Equations (LEE) are solved on a uniform mesh for benchmark problems in one and two dimensions. Also a two dimensional mixing layer is solved by using LargeEddy Simulation (LES). Three different boundary schemes are compared. The results compare well with the ...
