lighting plays a key role in night escapes of urban spaces, in a way that it can be effective in giving identity to them. by considering this importance and inexistence of a process for composing urban lighting strategy made this study to be conducted by the objective of providing process for compilation of context-oriented lighting strategy in urban spaces. reaching a suitable solution for lig...

The multi-membered Evolution Strategy (ES) acting on parents and oospring is analyzed for real-valued, N-dimensional parameter spaces (N > 30). N-dependent progress rate formulas are derived for (1;) and (;) strategies on spherical models. The analytical results obtained are compared with simulation experiments for the (hyper)sphere and the inclined (hyper)plane.

With the ever-increasing complexity, accuracy, dimensionality, and size of simulations, a step in the direction of data-intensive scientific discovery becomes necessary. Parameter-dependent simulations are an example of such a data-intensive tasks: The researcher, who is interested in the dependency of the simulation’s result on a set of input parameters, changes essential parameters and wants ...

Many real-world data sets consist of a very high dimensional feature space. Most clustering techniques use the distance or similarity between objects as a measure to build clusters. But in high dimensional spaces, distances between points become relatively uniform. In such cases, density based approaches may give better results. Subspace Clustering algorithms automatically identify lower dimens...

in this note, we aim to present some properties of the space of all weakly fuzzy bounded linear operators, with the bag and samanta’s operator norm on felbin’s-type fuzzy normed spaces. in particular, the completeness of this space is studied. by some counterexamples, it is shown that the inverse mapping theorem and the banach-steinhaus’s theorem, are not valid for this fuzzy setting. also...

gol-e-gohar iron ore mine of sirjan in southern part of iran is a large open pit that operates below the groundwater table and during mining operation, dewatering is required to prevent operation processes from flooding. current operation is going on by digging wells in or out of the pit and pumping to prevent flooding. as a result of the former dewatering operation a vast deep cone of depressi...

In object tracking, visual features may not be discriminative enough to estimate high dimensional motion parameters accurately, and complex motion estimation is computationally expensive due to a large search space. To tackle these problems, a reasonable strategy is to track small components within the target independently in lower dimensional motion parameter spaces (e.g., translation only) an...
