We present an incomplete filtering algorithm for the circuit constraint. The filter removes redundant values by eliminating nonHamiltonian edges from the associated graph (i.e., edges that are part of no Hamiltonian cycle). We prove a necessary condition for an edge to be Hamiltonian, which provides the basis for eliminating edges of a smaller graph defined on a separator of the original graph.
C l c3 Abstract-In this paper, a design method is described for low-sensitivity narrow-band band-pass switched-capacitor filters (SCF's) using a pseudo-2-path principle and a capacitor-error-free voltage inversion. The proposed method is based on the low-pass to high-pass transformation using voltage inversion, the pseudo2-path principle, the capacitance-ratio reduction technique and a very low...
A new stereo echo canceler with pre-processing for correct echo-path identification is proposed. The pre-processing is accomplished by a two-tap time-varying filter which delays the input signal periodically by one sample in one of the two channels. Aliasing components and audible clicks by pre-processing are made inaudible by selecting appropriate parameters for the filter. Simulations with th...
A new morphological operator, namely RORPO (Ranking Orientation Responses of Path Operators), was recently introduced as a semi-global, morphological alternative to the local, Hessian-based operators for thin structure filtering in 3D images. In this context, a previous study has already provided experimental proof of its relevance by comparison to such differential operators. In this article, ...
In this paper we present an efficient method for equalizing the wireless channel in DSP-based radio architectures. Equalization is usually performed in the time domain via transversal filters. Our proposal performs the channel equalization in the frequency domain by adjusting scalar gains and phases of each path of a perfect reconstruction filter bank. In this process the spectral products form...
Combining Particle filter and Population-Based Metaheuristics for Visual Articulated Motion Tracking
Visual tracking of articulated motion is a complex task with high computational costs. Because of the fact that articulated objects are usually represented as a set of linked limbs, tracking is performed with the support of a model. Model-based tracking allows determining object pose in an effortless way and handling occlusions. However, the use of articulated models generates a multidimensiona...
Spatial recursive least squares (RLS) adaptive filters with exponential forgetting of past data perform not much better than a simple LMS adaptive filter in most applications. A significant improvement can be achieved when a multiple delay is added in the filter path. Delayed filtering with respect to parameter adaptation has the effect of incorporation of a number of “future” samples in the pa...
This paper presents the least-mean-square (LMS) adaptive filter for deriving its Architectures for high-speed and low complexity implementation. It is shown that the direct-form LMS adaptive filter has nearly the same critical path as its transpose-form counterpart, but provides much faster convergence and lower register complexity. From the critical-path evaluation, it is further shown that no...
In this note we use the boundary classification of diffusions in order to derive a criterion for the convergence of perpetual integral functionals of transient real-valued diffusions. We present a second approach, based on Khas’minskii’s lemma, which is applicable also to spectrally negative Lévy processes. In the particular case of transient Bessel processes, our criterion agrees with the one ...
