This article presents a simple technique for splitting up a panoramic range image into a set of 2[1/2]D representations. The proposed technique consists of three stages. First, a spherical discretization map is generated. Second, main surface orientations are extracted together with their corresponding histogram of distances. Each one of these histograms is used to define the position of a proj...

In this paper, we propose a new explicit iteration method using shrinking projection for solving the split best proximity point and equilibrium problems. We prove its strong convergence under some suitable conditions in Hilbert spaces. A numerical example are given to illustrate effectiveness of proposed algorithm.

Extraction and analysis of building façades are key processes in the three-dimensional (3D) building reconstruction and realistic geometrical modeling of the urban environment, which includes many applications, such as smart city management, autonomous navigation through the urban environment, fly-through rendering, 3D street view, virtual tourism, urban mission planning, etc. This paper propos...

“Dynamic projection mapping” is a variation of the best-known “projection mapping”. It considers the perceptual analysis of the urban landscape in which the video projection and the observer’s displacement speed are hypothesized. This latter, in particular, is variable and may depend on factors not directly controllable by the driver (slowdowns due to accidents, rallies, etc.). This speed can b...

Given a faithful parameterization P(t) of a rational plane curve, an inversion formula t = f(x,y) gives the parameter value corresponding to a point (x,y) on the curve, where f is a rational function in x and y. We investigate the relationship between a point (x*, y*) not on the curve and the corresponding point P(t*) on the curve, where t* = f(x*, y*). It is shown that for a rational quadratic...
