I study non-radiative cooling of X-ray emitting gas via heat conduction along magnetic field lines inside magnetic flux loops in cooling flow clusters of galaxies. I find that such heat conduction can reduce the fraction of energy radiated in the X-ray band by a factor of ∼ 1.5− 2. This non-radiative cooling joins two other proposed non-radiative cooling processes, which can be more efficient. ...

in the present paper, a numerical method is considered for solving one-dimensionalheat equation subject to both neumann and dirichlet initial boundaryconditions. this method is a combination of collocation method and radial basis functions (rbfs). the operational matrix of derivative for laguerre-gaussians (lg) radial basis functions is used to reduce the problem to a set of algebraic equations...

In this work, the steady and laminar mixed convection of nanofluid in horizontal concentric annulus withrotating inner cylinder is investigated numerically. The inner and outer cylinders are kept at constanttemperature Ti and To respectively, where Ti>To. The annular space is filled with Alumina-water nanofluid. The governing equations with the corresponded boundary conditions in the polar coord...

Recent developments in synchrotron brilliance and X-ray optics are pushing the flux density in nanofocusing experiments to unprecedented levels, which increases the risk of different types of radiation damage. The effect of X-ray induced sample heating has been investigated using time-resolved and steady-state three-dimensional finite-element modelling of representative nanostructures. Simulati...

There are several manufacturing processes where heat conduction is one of the key physical phenomena that influence the process performance. Such processes include molding operations, heat treatment, welding, flame bending etc. Typical temperature control implemented in these processes, at best involves independent multi-zone type regulation. (For example: barrel heaters in injection molding.) ...

in this work we solve the set of hydrodynamical equations for accretion disks in the spherical coordinates (r,θ,ϕ) to obtain the explicit structure along θ direction. we study a two-dimensional advective accretion disc in the presence of thermal conduction. we find self-similar solutions for an axisymmetric, rotating, steady, viscous-resistive disk. we show that the global structure of an advec...

The interaction of thermal radiation with conduction and laminar natural convection in a vertical circular pin, situated at participating gas, is numerically investigated. An absorbing and emitting gas is considered, and treated to be a gray participating media. Under the idealizing of gray gas, the Rosselan4 approximation is employed to describe the radiative heat flux in the energy equation. ...

We consider the structure of steady–state radiative shock waves propagating in the partially ionized hydrogen gas with density ρ1 = 10 −10 gm cm and temperature 3000 K ≤ T1 ≤ 8000 K. The radiative shock wave models with electron thermal conduction in the vicinity of the viscous jump are compared with pure radiative models. The threshold shock wave velocity above of which effects of electron the...

This paper presents an exact analytical solution for two-dimensional conductive heat transfer in spherical composite pressure vessels .The vessels are in spherical shape and fibers are winded in circumferential direction. The analytical solution is obtained under the general boundary conditions which consist of convection, conduction and radiation inside/outside of vessel. The heat transfer equ...

The Lévy walk model is studied in the context of the anomalous heat conduction of one-dimensional systems. In this model, the heat carriers execute Lévy walks instead of normal diffusion as expected in systems where Fourier's law holds. Here we calculate exactly the average heat current, the large deviation function of its fluctuations, and the temperature profile of the Lévy walk model maintai...
