In this paper we investigate the sufficiency criteria which guarantee the classical localization of a bounded ring at its prime ideals.

We give a description of the minimal primes of the ideal generated by the 2×2 adjacent minors of a generic matrix. We also compute the complete prime decomposition of the ideal of adjacent m×m minors of an m×n generic matrix when the characteristic of the ground field is zero. We generalize the differential dimension polynomial from prime differential ideals to characterizable differential ideals. Its computation is algorithmic, its degree and leading coefficient remain differential birational invariants, and it decides equality of characterizable differential ideals contained in each other.
