OFET devices based on single-crystals of two different porphyrin derivatives display excellent mobilities of 2.57 and 0.48 cm(2) V(-1) s(-1). Although they generate similar J-aggregations, the dramatic enhancement of mobility obtained using porphyrin 1 is due to the well-confined secondary structural arrangement caused by substituents on the porphyrin ring.

In this work we report room-temperature photoluminescence from as-deposited hydrogenated silicon nitride films due to silicon nanocrystals/structural disorder. A systematic study of fabrication parameters and post-heat treatment on the optical features has been done. Enhancement in optical constant on annealing is attributed to phase separation into c-Si and other phases.
