In the structure of the title compound, C(20)H(34)O(2)Si, a cis,trans,cis,cis-[4.5.5.5]fenestrane derivative, the geometry of the central C(C)(4) substructure shows considerable distortion from an ideal tetra-hedral arrangement towards planarity, with two opposite bridgehead bond angles of 128.87 (18) and 122.83 (17)°. The other bridgehead angle of the trans-bicyclo-[3.3.0]octane subunit is als...

The Sn(IV) atom in the three independent mol-ecules of the title compound, [Sn(C(7)H(6)Cl)(2)(C(9)H(6)NO)Cl], is N,O-chelated by the quinolin-8-olate anion and exists in a cis-C(2)SnNOCl trigonal-bipyramidal geometry; the O atom of the anion and the two benzyl C atoms lie in the equatorial plane.

The title compound, C(16)H(20)Cl(2)O(8), contains a central bicyclo-[2.2.2]octane skeleton with slightly twisted conformation. In this structure, the C-C bond lengths are in the range 1.525 (2)-1.552 (2) Å. Two sides of this skeleton have cis,cis acet-oxy substituents and the Cl atoms have a trans arrangement. An extensive network of weak C-H⋯O interactions stabilizes the crystal structure.

Fluorescence microscopy studies have shown that many proteins localize to highly specific subregions within bacterial cells. Analyzing the spatial distribution of low-abundance proteins within cells is highly challenging because information obtained from multiple cells needs to be combined to provide well-defined maps of protein locations. We present (to our knowledge) a novel tool for fast, au...

Come with us to read a new book that is coming recently. Yeah, this is a new coming book that many people really want to read will you be one of them? Of course, you should be. It will not make you feel so hard to enjoy your life. Even some people think that reading is a hard to do, you must be sure that you can do it. Hard will be felt when you have no ideas about what kind of book to read. Or...

The six-coordinate Sn(IV) atom in the title compound, [SnCl(4)(C(14)H(14)OS)(2)], exists in a cis-SnCl(4)O(2) octa-hedral geometry. Of the four Cl atoms, two are close to adjacent S atoms [Cl⋯S = 3.320 (1) and 3.376 (1) Å]; the Sn-Cl bonds involving these two Cl atoms are longer than the other two Sn-Cl bonds.
