Three decay mechanisms are derived systematically from the QCD Lagrangian using the field correlator method. Resulting operators contain no arbitrary parameters and depend only on characteristics of field correlators known from lattice and analytic calculations. When compared to existing phenomenological models, parameters are in good agreement with the corresponding fitted values.
The equivalence of correct Hamiltonian and naive Lagrangian (Faddeev–Popov) path integral quantization (Matthews’s theorem) is proven for gauge theories with arbitrary effective interaction terms. Effective gauge-boson self-interactions and effective interactions with scalar and fermion fields are considered. This result becomes extended to effective gauge theories with higher derivatives of th...
We reconsider microscopic grounds for the electric field response and for the phase dynamics ofcharge/spin density waves in pure systems. We suggest transparent and free of lengthy calculations way to derive the local Lagrangian valid at any temperature 0 < T < TMF and for arbitrary electronic spectrum provided it supports the existence of
A Lagrangian analysis explains the numerical results of Valentini and Westman (2005) which demonstrate that an initially arbitrary particle density, stirred by the field of de Broglie velocities associated with a Schrödinger wave function, relaxes to the Born probability density provided both densities are coarse–grained. PACS numbers: 03.65.Ca, 03.65.Ta Submitted to: J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. de ...
In this paper, an arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) based numerical method has been presented for the numerical simulation of gas-particle two phase flow with moving boundaries. The main stages for the implementation of the algorithm have been discussed. The numerical results of cylindrical implosion and 2D dusty gas explosion have shown the effectiveness of the method.
It is shown that linear time-dependent invariants for arbitrary multi-dimensional quadratic systems can be obtained from the Lagrangian and Hamil-tonian formulation procedures by considering a variation of coordinates and mo-menta that follows the classical trajectory and defines a noetherian symmetry transformation.
We consider the transport of dynamically passive quantities in the Batchelor regime of a smooth in space velocity field. For the case of arbitrary temporal correlations of the velocity, we formulate the statistics of relevant characteristics of Lagrangian motion. This allows us to generalize many results obtained previously for strain delta correlated in time, thus answering a question about th...
A new optimization-based synchronized flux-corrected conservative interpolation (remapping) of mass and momentum for arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian hydro methods is described. Fluxes of conserved variables – mass and momentum – are limited in a synchronous way to preserve local bounds of primitive variables – density and velocity. Published by Elsevier Inc.
Performing functional integration of the free Lagrangian, we find the vacuum energy of a field. The functional integration is performed in a way which easily generalizes to systems at nonzero temperature. We use this technique to obtain the Casimir energy density and pressure at arbitrary temperatures.
The construction of an extended version of the Weinberg-Tomozawa Lagrangian, in which baryons and mesons form spin-flavor multiplets, is reviewed and some of its properties discussed, for an arbitrary number of colors and flavors. The coefficient tables of spin-flavor irreducible representations related by crossing between the s-, t-and u-channels are explicitly constructed.
