The transfer of chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown graphene is the prerequisite for many applications. Herein, we introduce a simple and eco-friendly electrochemical technique to transfer graphene using agarose gel as the solid electrolyte and a mechanical support layer for graphene sheets. This transfer technique will be a perfect candidate for the industrial applications of graphene.

A number of N-substituted benzimidazole derivatives have been synthesized and tested for their antibacterial activities. The chemical structures of the newly synthesized compounds were verified on the basis of spectral and elemental methods of analysis. Apart of this electrochemical analysis are performed on these derivatives. The electrochemical reduction of these compounds takes place in a si...

Reactive interface patterning promoted by lithographic electrochemistry serves as a method for generating submicrometer scale structures. We use a binary-potential step on a metallic overlayer on silicon to fabricate radial patterns of cobalt oxide on the nanoscale. The mechanism for pattern formation has heretofore been ill-defined. The binary potential step allows the electrochemical boundary...

An electrochemical cell coupled with disposable screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) that is specifically designed for use in flow injection analysis (FIA) is described in this study. The cell is made of foldable polyoxymethylene (acetal) thick platelets with the bottom portion consisting of a cavity track to drag the SPEs in position and the top portion having predrilled T-like holes to arrange th...

The emergence of personalized and stratified medicine requires label-free, low-cost diagnostic technology capable of monitoring multiple disease biomarkers in parallel. Silicon photonic biosensors combine high-sensitivity analysis with scalable, low-cost manufacturing, but they tend to measure only a single biomarker and provide no information about their (bio)chemical activity. Here we introdu...

We propose a super resolution imaging technique called plasmonic structured illumination microscopy (PSIM), which combines the structured illumination microscopy technique with the tunable surface plasmon interference. Because of the high-resolution enabled by using surface plasmon interference as an illumination source, PSIM possesses higher image resolving power compared with conventional str...

This effort evaluated the potential of two prototype devices for enhanced electrochemical detection of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) and dinitrotoluene (DNT) following preconcentration using an organosilicate sorbent. The bench-scale prototype provides adsorption of the targets from aqueous solution followed by elution in a mixture of methanol and potassium chloride (KCl). Following elution, the ...
