Oscillatory brain activity in the theta frequency range (4-8 Hz) before the onset of an event has been shown to affect the likelihood of successfully encoding the event into memory. Recent work has also indicated that frontal theta activity might be modulated by reward, but it is not clear how reward expectancy, anticipatory theta activity, and memory formation might be related. Here, we used s...

in this article, we study the new streamline diffusion finite element for treating the linear second order hyperbolic initial-boundary value problem. we prove a posteriori $ l^2(l^2)$ and error estimates for this method under minimal regularity hypothesis. test problem of an application of the wave equation in the laser is presented to verify the efficiency and accuracy of the method.

in this paper, based on the slab method of analysis, a novel and general approach isdeveloped for studying the radial forging process with curved profile dies. the presented approachis not only more general with respect to previous studies, but it is also easier to understand and useand can be efficiently used for optimization of the die profile depending on the forging geometryand conditions. ...

We propose a novel approach for bounding the probability of error of discrete memoryless channels with a zeroerror capacity based on a combination of Lovász’ and Gallager’s ideas. The obtained bounds are expressed in terms of a function θ(ρ), introduced here, that varies from the cut-off rate of the channel to the Lovázs theta function as ρ varies from 1 to ∞ and which is intimately related to ...

In higher dimensional theories, such as brane world models with quasilocalized non-Abelian gauge fields, the vacuum structure turns out to be trivial. Since the gauge theory behaves at large distances as a 4 + delta dimensional, thus the topology of the infinity is that of S(3+delta) rather than S(3). This topology does not support finite action instantonic configurations and thus the CP violat...

Abstract. — We propose to apply a version of the classical Stokes expansion method to the perturbative construction of invariant tori for PDEs corresponding to solutions quasiperiodic in space and time variables. We argue that, for integrable PDEs all but finite number of the small divisors arising in the perturbative analysis cancel. As an illustrative example we establish such cancellations f...

Objectives: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a group of neurodevelopment syndromes with impairments in social communications and restrictive or repetitive behaviors. Neurofeedback is a new method that may regulate neuro and metabolic function in brain. This study is semi-experimental, with pre and post test.  Methods: In 26 children with ASD, 40 sessions of Neurofeedback were done. Brain...
