The greatest impediment to practical adoption of iterative methods for X-ray CT is the computation burden of cone-beam forward and back-projectors. Moreover, forward and back-projector accuracy is also crucial to iterative reconstruction methods. We previously described a computationally efficient projector that approximates the voxel footprint functions by the 2D separable products of trapezoi...

A rotating-and-warping projector / backprojector is proposed for iterative algorithms used to reconstruct fanbeam and cone-beam single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) data. The development of a new projector/ backprojector for implementing attenuation, geometric point response, and scatter models is motivated by the need to reduce the computation time yet to preserve the fidelity of...

We complete the set of spin-projector operators for fields up to rank-3 by providing all connecting sectors with same spin and parity. In this way we can broaden search unitary non-tachyonic particle propagation in quadratic lagrangian inter-field mixing. use properties projector algebra reanalyze known theories shed light towards new healthy ones. do so full control over gauge constraints work...

This paper describes techniques for the design of a system able to interact with the user by visual recognition of hand gestures. The system is composed of three modules including tracking, posture classii-cation and gesture recognition. A description of each module is given. In order to increase the robustness and the precision of the tracking, several complementary tracking processes are coup...

The goal of the spin foam approach 1 is to construct a mathematically well defined notion of path integral for non-perturbative quantum GR as a devise for computing the ‘dynamics’ of the theory. By ‘dynamics’ here we mean the characterization of the kernel of the quantum constraints given by the representation of the classical constraints in connection variables, schematically, Gi = DaE a i , V...

The (left coalgebra) line bundle associated to the quantum Hopf fibration of any quantum two-sphere is shown to be a finitely generated projective module. The corresponding projector is constructed and its monopole charge is computed. It is shown that the Dirac q-monopole connection on any quantum two-sphere induces the Grassmannian connection built with this projector.

Description In January 2012 Barco showed the world’s brightest digital projector to the public. After 5 years of research and development Barco showed how laser illumination can push the boundaries of digital projection, increasing the brightness over the brightest commercially available projector by 40%. The cooling system plays a crucial role in achieving this world record breaking brightness...

In this paper, we propose a novel virtual display system for a real object surface by using a video projector, so that the viewer can feel as if digital images are printed on the real surface with arbitrary shape. This system consists of an uncalibrated camera and video projector connected to a same PC and creates a virtual object by rendering 2D contents preserved beforehand onto a white objec...
