It is shown that, for neutrally stable discrete-time linear systems subject to actuator saturation, nite gain lp stabilization can be achieved by linear output feedback, for all p 2 (1; 1]. An explicit construction of the corresponding feedback laws is given. The feedback laws constructed also result in a closed-loop system that is globally asymptotically stable, and in an input-to-state estimate.

During the last decade the class of rigid robot systems has been the subject of intensive research in the field of systems and control theory, particularly owing to the inherent nonlinear nature of rigid robots. For the same reason, these systems have widely been used to exemplify general concepts in nonlinear control theory. As a result of this excessive research activity a large variety of co...

We discuss several issues related to the stabilizability of nonlinear systems. For a given continuously stabilizable system, we review some constructions of feedbacks that render the system input-to-state stable with respect to actuator errors. We also announce a new feedback design that makes globally asymptotically controllable systems input-to-state stable to actuator errors and small observ...

We extend two fundamental properties of positive linear time-invariant (LTI) systems to homogeneous cooperative systems. Specifically, we demonstrate that such systems are D-stable, meaning that global asymptotic stability is preserved under diagonal scaling. We also show that a delayed homogeneous cooperative system is globally asymptotically stable (GAS) for any non-negative delay if and only...

It is shown that, for neutrally stable discrete-time linear systems subject to actuator saturation, "nite gain l p stabilization can be achieved by linear output feedback, for all p3(1,R]. An explicit construction of the corresponding feedback laws is given. The feedback laws constructed also result in a closed-loop system that is globally asymptotically stable, and in an input-to-state estimat...

In this paper, a new cascaded wheel-slip control strategy based on wheel slip and wheel acceleration measurements is presented. This new algorithm is able to stabilize globally and asymptotically the wheel slip around any prescribed setpoint, both in the stable and unstable regions of the tyre.

In this paper, a predator–prey system with Beddington–DeAngelis functional response is studied, where the predator preys on n competing preys. We prove that the system admits very rich dynamics, including permanence, ultimate boundedness, extinction. Moreover, under some appropriate assumptions, there exists a unique almost periodic solution which is shown to be globally asymptotically stable.

In this paper, we consider a nonautonomous multispecies competition predator-prey system with Holling’s type III functional response and prey supplement. It is proved that the system is uniformly persistent under some conditions. Furthermore, we show that the system has a unique positive periodic solution which is globally asymptotically stable.

A type of delayed Lotka-Volterra competition reaction-diffusion system is considered. By constructing a new Lyapunov function, we prove that the unique positive steady-state solution is globally asymptotically stable when interspecies competition is weaker than intraspecies competition. Moreover, we show that the stability property does not depend on the diffusion coefficients and time delays.

If an aggregative game satisfies the generalized Hahn conditions, then there exists a unique Nash equilibrium which may not be interior and is globally asymptotically stable under two alternative continuous adjustment processes with non-negativity constraints. JEL Classification Numbers: C72, D43, L13.
