This paper introduces an explicit reference governor approach for controlling time delay linear systems subject to state and input constraints. The proposed framework relies on suitable invariant sets that can be built using both Lyapunov-Razumikhin and LyapunovKrasovskii arguments. The proposed method is validated both numerically and experimentally using several alternative formulations.

In this paper, the modiied MUSIC estimator 1] for near-far resistant delay estimation in DS-CDMA systems is considered. A simpliied cost function is proposed and analytical expressions for the variance of the two algorithms are derived, showing that the asymptotic variance is invariant to the interference power.

This paper deals with the long-time behaviour of numerical solutions of neutral delay differential equations that have stable hyperbolic periodic orbits. It is shown that Runge–Kutta discretizations of such equations have attractive invariant closed curves which approximate the periodic orbit with the full order of the method, in spite of the lack of a finite-time smoothing property of the flow.

We investigate the ultraslow motion of polychromatic Bessel beams in unbounded, nondispersive media. Control over the group velocity is exercised by means of the angular dispersion of pulsed Bessel beams of invariant transverse spatial frequency, which spontaneously emerge from near-field generators. Temporal dynamics in transients and resonances over homogeneous delay lines (dielectric slabs) ...

Necessary and sufficient conditions for exponential stability of linear time invariant delay differential-algebraic equations (DDAEs) are presented. The robustness of this property is studied when the equation is subjected to structured perturbations and a computable formula for the structured stability radius is derived. The results are illustrated by several examples.

It is shown that for an SDE in a Hilbert space, eventual compactness of the driving semigroup together with compact perturbations can be used to establish the existence of an invariant measure. The result is applied to stochastic functional differential equations and the heat equation perturbed by delay and noise, which are both shown to be driven by an eventually compact semigroup.

BIFURCATION OF PERIODIC DELAY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS AT POINTS OF 1:4 RESONANCE ∗ G. RÖST † Abstract. The time-periodic scalar delay differential equation ẋ(t) = γf(t, x(t − 1)) is considered, which leads to a resonant bifurcation of the equilibrium at critical values of the parameter. Using Floquet theory, spectral projection and center manifold reduction, we give conditions for the stability ...

Since 2005 a new powerful invariant of an algebra has emerged using the earlier work of Horvath, Hethelyi, Kulshammer and Murray. The authors studied Morita invariance of a sequence of ideals of the center of a nite dimensional algebra over a eld of nite characteristic. It was shown that the sequence of ideals is actually a derived invariant, and most recently a slightly modied version o...

This paper establishes sufficient conditions for stability of linear and time-invariant delay differential systems including their various usual subclasses (i.e., point, distributed and mixed point-distributed delay systems). Sufficient conditions for stability are obtained in terms of the Schur's complement of operators and the frequency domain Lyapunov equation. The basic idea in the analysis...

A hybrid search method based on Ant Colony Optimization for Continuous Domains ( ACO ) and the Nelder-Mead Simplex algorithm is proposed to calculate the stability margin of linear time-invariant time-delay systems. The effectiveness of the Nelder-Mead Simplex procedure is combined with the global search power of the ACO method to obtain the stability margin of linear timeinvariant time-delay s...
