Experimental results of a search for the Ξ3/2(1860) cascade pentaquark state in data collected with the CDF 2 Detector in Run II at the Tevatron are presented. No evidence for these states in the neutral Ξπ and doubly charged Ξ−π− modes has been found. Preliminary upper limits on yields at 1862 MeV/c relative to the well established resonance Ξ(1530) are presented.

The study of resonances in √ s = 7 TeV pp collisions provides a test of QCD in a new energy domain as well as a baseline for heavy-ion collisions. The resonances K∗(892)0, φ(1020), Σ(1385)±, Λ(1520), and Ξ(1530)0 have been reconstructed at midrapidity from their hadronic decay using data collected by the ALICE detector. The comparison of φ(1020) and Σ(1385) pT-spectra to QCD-inspired models suc...

This brief overview of the progress and evolution of philosophies of obturator framework designs was accomplished by hand, as well as via Medline. It begins in 1530 ad with Ambrose Paré who described the first button-shaped sponge and metal obturator, and continues through the formation of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and the development of the specialty. It concludes with ...
